Overlord III - Season Three
H**N
Very well directed, acting, animation, pacing, story. Highly recommended.
This is an exceptional series that seems to have it all. Its shines, and is compelling, draws the viewer in, and it is a lot of fun. The fundamental plot device, that a gamer from our world works well, yet very little depends on this. Naturally, in a new world, exploration is part of the fun, and the viewer learns as the in-story characters learn. This has great directing, excellent (Japanese) voice acting, catchy music, great open and ends, the story telling, editing, and pacing are wonderful, the animation is very good. There are a lot of characters in these stories overall, but as many episodes are devoted to isolated groups (story arcs), they grow on you, have plenty of time, and it is not confusing. Some of the characters die or have other miserable ends, but it makes sense in the overall, although often disappointing to see it. The interesting thing is 90% of the stories are not about the Overlord character directly, but things he has set in motion. There are a few slow spots with the dunce "Climb" character.I have to say even the evil characters have their charming sides, and all are interesting. It is an amazing, wide spectacle and wide, diverse group of characters that would normally hard to keep together. The directing and pacing here is superb, and it ends up being effortless, never confusing. The bad:The English commentaries are an embarrassment for both season II and this Season III, some of the worst I've seen in any disc of any genre. The talk about themselves, compliment themselves, and the "commentary about the show" is all about them. They have few if any words about the series or story. It is like having juveniles talking in a movie theater. No one adds one aspect to make the show more interesting or bring new views.Thankfully, this doesn't impact the show itself.I listened to the English voice actors on a couple episodes, and while I'm sure they worked hard, they can't compare with the Japanese. They just don't have the delivery and emotional range and subtly. Stick with the subtitles.

Worth the buy :)👍
The first few episodes are kinda filler episodes and still no word if if there will be a season five. With that saidthis season seems to focus a little more on the human characters development and the battle maids.

Awesome, entertain, and enjoyed
I love overlord. The music was amazing. I enjoyed every episodes both english and sub. He is a true villain in the story. Read the manga, book, and keep on watching because it is very entertaining. Older people should see this ages 13 and up any younger age 9 under well would think this is to dark.

Darker stories but an excellent continuation
As Momon/Ainz continues to lose his touch with humanity and becomes more and more the monster overlord, the residents of Nazarick do more macabre experiments on humans they have captured, and lure some into traps Ainz makes a rare exception with Enri's sister, whom he finds adorable. He specifically adds her to the list of people to be protected, and not for practical reasons, for once. There is less comedy in this season, and more tragedy. But Ainz is still surprised when the floor guardians ascribe deeper motives to his actions and decisions than he really had, and tries to figure out what actions they are interpreting as being part of his "plan" for world domination. The English dub is fairly effective here, as Ainz's tone (in his thoughts) demonstrates his bewilderment. The characterization of some of the new characters was fleshed out nicely. I was sad when the team of four adventurers was wiped out, and agree with a friend that if their leader had been truthful that they wanted money to help the girl with her family's debt, Ainz might have shown some sympathy and mercy, if only by allowing her sisters to serve the tomb. But that's not what the writer chose to do. Likewise, the end of the chief warrior was sad, but at the same time noble, as he stood by his ideals to the end, and served as inspiration to Brain and Climb. On the other hand, the end of the elf party leader was fun, as the mistreated women were overjoyed when he realized he was in serious trouble, and then stomped repeatedly on his corpse. It would be nice if they were allowed to leave, but probably they were experimented on too.The short extras are fun as usual.

Exactly what I wanted.
Love the extras that came with it. The anime seemed a bit rushed as overlord 2 +3 came out within 1 year. This covers the raiders of the tomb arc, as well as the sorcerer of destruction arc. Hopefully we get season 4 once the light novels get passed book 12.
