Absolute crap! NO LEVERAGE
When the clamp in its closed position its at about 235 degrees. When fully open its about 305 to 360 degrees. You have to pull down on the clamp counter clockwise from the 360 position to the 235 degree position, when pulling down the clamp you are also pushing the clamp off the valve spring. You can not get any leverage to compress the spring, very poor design. Ive been messing around with this clamp for 45 minutes and have only taken off 1 valve spring and that's because the valve retainers just fell off when the spring was compressed enough. I have been unable to lock this clamp in place. Frustrating piece of crap. The positive reviews you see here are intentional reviews eg. reviews from china

A Must Have
I used this for a set of 799 LS heads. Its easy to adjust so it would Definitely work on others. I had a pretty easy time getting the spring retainer clips in after compressing. This tool is a must have for valve springs and I would definitely recommend it. And side note, I am a tool guy ;)

Good bang for the buck
Great price, worked great on my 5.3L heads. Easy to use and cheaper than other brands. Doesn’t feel flimsy or cheap at all

No go on BBC
I would not recommend for Big block chevy valves not enough leverage.

Tool worked well and safely
Working on a Kohler OHV head. In lapping the valves I removed and replaced them several times quite easily. Setting the clamping amount was pretty easy.
