2015 ram 1500 Direct Fit
I love it so far only have a few hundred miles on the new remote filter setup. I installed it on my 2015 ram 1500, inside the passenger fram rail just under the radiator. I installed it horizontally, and I added a basic hose clamp you tighten with a screw driver to each fitting just to make sure the supplied hoses don't pop off the barbs. I did test install one of the hoses onto a barb and could not pull it off and had to cut it to get it back off so hose clamps may not be needed.Installed a PH8A fram oil filter

this product is great. I was able to move my oil filter ...
OK, this product is great. I was able to move my oil filter from buried under the engine and over the front power steering motor to just behind the front bumper support. Should take me about 30 seconds now to change the filter with no mess, where as before it was 20 minutes just to jack the truck up and spill about a quart all over everywhere... But, do use high temp Thread sealing tape on the fittings and do buy four 3/4 inch hose clamps to make sure the hoses don't leak. Other than that, piece of cake! And it did fit perfectly on a 2014 5.7L Ram 1500. I am now also running a bigger Fram XG-8a filter which this kit calls for.

Manufacturer does not fully stand behind this product
Installed on my Ram 5.7L Hemi. #1 Recommend you use angled fittings at the engine. #2 my filter bypass adapter had a hole in the casting that was not visible until after I started the engine and found a stream of oil pouring onto my steering box, cross member and the driveway. After I removed the adapter I could see the oil seeping from the hole. I lost more than a few quarts of synthetic oil from the leak and the process of removing the adapter, hoses and my new filter. I called Hedman and they said oh sorry to hear about that but we only guarantee our part, no compensation for the mess and lost oil. No compensation if the part would have failed on the road and you were stranded or killed your engine.I know a lot of people use these adapters and I have read of similar failures. Hedman's CS is a bit weak and the flippant attitude of their rep I spoke with was not appreciated.

BEWARE - Amazon fitment guide is WRONG
Amazon’s fitment guide has it wrong, this1127 kit does not fit a 90’s Ford F150 with 5.0L 302 (or earlier 302), rather, for that application you would need the 1113 kit,… which Amazon says will not fit. The 1127 kit has (for the adapter that goes to the block) M22-1.5 metric thread, which I believe is used on the much later 5.0L “Coyote” engines, as well as the ‘97 and up F-150s with a 5.4 Triton. That is, any engines taking the FL-820S oil filter. but in any case do your research and don’t trust Amazon’s “fitment guide”… it’s wrong … it’s got it backwards. So now I have to either send this back and order the 1113 kit, or order another adapter piece only (to replace the original oil filter to the block), or else just modify (the threads from M22-1.5 to 3/4”-16) it. All that said, interestingly enough, the other piece in the kit, the part that accepts the oil filter, it’s machining (and included “nipple”) has 3/4”-16 thread. So you have to use the earlier type (1980-1996) filter a FL1A or PH8A or better yet a Purolator PL30001 or Wix 51515 or Baldwin B2 (any of which beats ANY Fram). So evidently you have to switch to the earlier (to ‘96) filters even if having a later ‘97 up engine. Go figure.

Good idea - BAD product
I purchased a Transdapt 1127 oil filter relocation kit from Amazon in June. I was tired of oil leaking all over the place every time I changed the oil filter on my 06 Ford F150 so I thought I would give this a try. The hoses look like garden hose and do not have any visible clamps. It looks like the hoses must have been heated and press fit on the fittings but they are labeled 300psi and since TransDapt has been around for a long time I thought surly they would be ok. I took one trip at just over 1000 miles and watched carefully for any leaks but none showed up so I thought it must be ok. I took another trip and when I got where I was going (325 miles) we noticed oil leaking from under the truck. The leak appeared to be from a hose at the part that connects to the engine. I went to Walmart and bought a filter, wrench, drain pan and 2 qts of oil and proceeded to remove this kit. When I asked for a refund Amazon first replied that they would not give a refund because it was past 30 days. (The product has a 12 month warranty - go figure) Transdapt said to take it back to the retailer for a refund so I contacted Amazon again and they offered a one-time refund due to the situation. I did get my refund but it was minus shipping (the original shipping was free) and some other fee so basically my refund was $12 less than what I paid and I'm out the time and the trip to Walmart which was about another $20. I would not recommend this product until they come out with a better hose. I consider myself lucky in that if this had started leaking on the interstate running 75 I would probably be looking at a tow truck trip home and engine replacement. And guess what?? The warranty does not cover any cost past product replacement. Not good!

This has worked out well even though it started poorly ...
This has worked out well even though it started poorly. The first kit that I received was for the wrong vehicle. Amazon sent a second one overnight and that kit was missing the hoses. So by combining the two kits I got one working one. Has been installed now for a couple of months and one oil change. Is MUCH easier and less of a mess to change the filter now.

Love it.
Must have ,if you own Ram 1500 Hemi. I just used different hoses. Now my filter is easy accessible. I can change my oil even if it is 230F . No mess. I have installed and drain valve as well. Best filter to fit this one is Donaldson p169071. It is synthetic, highflow and contains 28g of dirt
