I'll start with the good: super portable
I'll start with the good: super portable. design/shape/colors very stylish. Quality lenses.Unfortunately, I am returning my DSCVR headset to Amazon. After having an original HMD made of cardboard, I was hoping to find something more comfortable, better quality, and more premium-feeling. As far as external aethetics, it's probably one of the best looking Google Cardboard HMDs I've seen.Unfortunately, it was VERY uncomfortable when placed on your face. These are the reasons I didn't like it:SHAPE: This is hard pointy plastic digging into the bridge of your nose. My old cardboard viewer was actually MORE comfortable than this. (at least cardboard bends to your face) I also wear glasses and it impossible to comfortably use glasses with these. (and the hard plastic edges kept hitting my glasses and I was worried it would scratch up my glasses) I took off my glasses (which caused everything to be blurry) just to see if the experience was better, but again, it was too painful on my nose.VR PRESENSE: When you get a VR headset, the more immersed you are in the VR experience, the better. So when I purchased the orange/white DSCVR headset, seeing the orange plastic and outside light in my peripheral vision killed any hope of being immersed in what I was looking for. As far as lenses, they were fine, but I did not notice any improvement in quality compared to my Google Cardboard 1.0 lenses. (using an iPhone 6)BUILD QUALITY: I was super excited when I saw it in the box, all retracted and super portable. But as soon as i pressed the side buttons to stretch it open, I could feel the cheapness of this product. (the sound of hard plastic scraping together as I awkwardly tried to open it. The flimsy rubber belt felt cheap and fragile, but was able to hold my phone snugly in place. Unfortunately, trying to take my phone out was another struggle. There is not button to release the belt. You kinda have to pull at it even harder, trying to angle the hook so it unhinges, until it finally comes free. Takes way too much time. Velco or a snap button would have been a more simple solution.CONCLUSION: As much as I love the look of this headset, I think they stressed too much on the aethetics and not enough on the function. Instead of spending money on creating versions of this headset in fun iPod-like colors, they could have used that production money on making a more comfortable nose piece, a phone-holding and HMD retracting mechanism that wasn't so clunky/awkward, and a form that blocked out ambient light. With my refunded money, I will be buying a plain cardboard HMD. (for the price of this, I can actually buy THREE cardboard HMDs)

Very good viewer - a lot of fun
This is my 3rd VR viewer and I'm very happy with it. First one was the cardboard version (of course!) which is great but I wanted something a little sturdier. Next I got one of the bigger ones with the headstrap, face pads and adjustable lenses, which has very good clarity but is a little heavy and cumbersome and has no way to advance through some of the applications (like Google Streetview). The DSCVR is the perfect compromise. The clarity is very good and it has the button. Love the fact that it is collapsible and comes with a storage case - very compact and easy to take it with me. I don't find the plastic uncomfortable at all - it is very smooth with no rough or sharp edges and it fits well on my face (better than the cardboard). Only drawbacks I can see are: 1.) you have to line the phone up before you lock the strap in place and it is a little awkward to do (but it does feel very secure as there is a silicone surface on the device itself too for a sure grip); and 2.) the button mechanism would not work if my phone was in its case (Otterbox) - I thought this would bother me more but I can live with it (had to take it out of the case for the headstrap model too because it wouldn't fit). Overall, I love this thing - fun to have a choice of colors!

Nice feel, product feel sturdy and totally works
Nice feel, product feel sturdy and totally works. The phone attachment method is aggravating especially when trying to demo or change the application a lot. The color is terrible. More of a melon than orange.

A great way to experience VR on the cheap!
I find the fit to be quite good, and the case is perfect for folding it back up and stuffing it into my bag on the go. I did find that the elastic piece that holds your phone in place started to split, but it still holds my phone securely. The button on it works well, and the design has enough space for my glasses, which I like a lot.My only other complaint was that the orange one seems more pinky-peach, and not as striking as depicted in the picture.Overall a great device!

Switches the Nexus 6 off
When you put your Nexus 6 into this, the strap holds down the power button and switches your phone off :(EDIT: It turns out that there's a way to balance the Nexus 6 so this doesn't happen, as long as you're careful.

Producto correcto
