So much information
Ok so I haven't actually read through the book properly yet, but it's so informative. If I hadn't gotten this suggested from a random tiktok comment (and yes that is how I ended up finding this) i would've never knew this existed. Now that I do however since Avatar is my special interest and has always been i can finally learn about everything, I dont think there's anything this book DOESN'T have. Well except maybe information about stuff from the second movie. But I love this and how the person who wrote it or the people who wrote it gave such a detailed description about all the creatures, all the plants and even the Hallelujah mountains and so much more. Not to mention there's a small section at the end of the book with a Na'vi-english dictionary. I will spend so much time now learning words and learning even more about the world of Pandora. Which in turn is also gonna make me sad because I genuinely feel like it was the world i was meant to live in, oh well. I guess not all fantasies can become reality! Either way though this book is amazing even though I only quickly skimmed through it, and absoloutley worth buying if you're as obsessed with Avatar as i am.

Definitely an interesting look into the world of Pandora
The authors wrote this book as though it were an actual in-universe publication of the company exploring Pandora, so take the "party line" expressed throughout with a grain of salt. Additional commentaries on some of the entries in the book have a strong "pro-Na'vi" slant, as though they were written by a member of Greenpeace, but I can tell that the authors wrote them that way deliberately to sustain the illusion of this being an actual RDA publication used by Dr. Holloway or Jake Sully.Even if you find the idea of a real-life book written in an "in-universe" style silly, the descriptions of the animals and plants of the fictional Pandora are highly believable; it's easy to see the effort James Cameron put into the world-building behind Pandora by hiring real-life experts in as diverse a range of fields as biology, botany, geology, and anthropology. For me, this book was a fascinating look into the ecosphere of Pandora, the fictional Na'vi culture, and the formation of the Hallelujah Mountains. If, like me, you're interested in world-building (perhaps you're a writer or sci-fi roleplaying gamer, or you're just interested in how life on other planets could plausibly evolve), then this book would probab;y make a fascinating reference for you on those grounds alone. If you liked the movie Avatar, and would like to know more about the setting that the movie takes place on, then this book is a must-have. Either way, it is a well-written exploration of an Earth-like alien world that really complements the movie experience.

A Whole New Level
I, for one, am completely impressed (and extremely pleased) by the depth and detail put into the creation of the world of Avatar as this book helps prove evident. This book is absolutely great for any of those who walked out of the theater amazed at only part of the world of Pandora thats pointed out and covered during the movie. It kinda blurs the time periods of your 'suspension of belief' by how convincingly real the information is and sounds hah. It can make it to where you have to remind yourself, 'hey remember its not actually out there floating around a couple lightyears away ya know?" I'm in my 20's and never really been any sort of avid sci-fi/fantasy/cultish(prolly not the most accurate of words but its all thats coming to me) fan before but I've been turned into a devotee after seeing the movie and this companion novel was friggen icing on the cake for me. Cameron and company created everything about the life of pandora to such a level of detail that ive never seen before and I LOVE it. This book is an awesome addition to the avatar movie 'experience'. Watching the movie again after reading this book makes it even more of an experience when you spot elements discussed in the book on the screen that most dont know to even look at. For example, you learn in the book that the mountains float because as a result of the magnetically bizarre unobatium in their composition, how/why the giant stone arches formed, how RDA started as a silicon valley start-up with borrowed money (I may be the only one who thinks thats cool because I live there lol), and explain (unnoticed by me until pointed to)why the avatars (on closer look) have 5 fingers and toes while na'vi have 4. Despite the fact it's all completely fictional information in reality, I find that this is basically a bio textbook that they created. I wish I was this in love with my actual textbooks. hahaBottom line, excusing my inability to fall asleep at 3am rambling, this is a must have for anyone who had fallen completely in love with (or even rather enjoyed) the movie by the time it finished playing. There's so much more brought to the film's experience after reading. Pretty neat :)I have never seen/understood why people have bothered to learn to speak the vulcan type film languages but the Na'vi word dictionary at the end sure makes me understand why people have done it lol. I kinda find myself wishing i knew it but i couldnt even hold on to four years of spanish classes let alone a made up one. <chuckle> i stumbled upon [...] moments before sidetracking on this which is worth a check out.

the biology of Avatar's Pandora
This book continues the fantasy world of Pandora. sThe details found in this book really show just how much research went into creating the planet Pandora. The physics, biology and unique ecology of the planet. I loved the movie AVATAR and this book helped flesh out the planet Pandora.

Good choice
The book offers a deeper view into the Avatar world, with good pictures and details about Pandora's flora and fauna, and about the human weapons and vehicles.

Must have for Avatar fans
If you want to know a bit more about Pandora or its eco-system, or indeed Earth and its eco-system behind the events of this story, its all here, plus more.It is written in a primarily "in universe" style as if you are living in the mid 22nd century and this largely confidential information has come into your possession. The illusion is spoiled in a couple of places unfortunately but these are easily ignored. The amount of background information prepared for this movie is immense and the detail is very convincing. This is a must have.

Star Wars for the new Millennium
I waited for James Cameron's movie for over 10 years and now, 4 weeks before it's final release, it is great to read fantastic books like this one where you can see the world of Pandora (the planet where the story takes place) is not only a cheap Hollywood construct but a real world where everything has a purpose and even the strangest alien things can be explained by science and biology. I really appreciate sci-fi movies which are based on science and biology facts. After reading this book the movie seems to be showing a world which really could exist somewhere out there. Awesome!
