Bang Caffeine-Free, Candy Apple Crisp Energy Drink, Zero-Sugar Bang Energy Drink, 16-Ounce (Pack of 12)

I don't know how the Red Line company gets their Bang drinks to taste the way they do. Maybe they use some type of killer chemical. I have no idea, but so many of them taste good. This one is no exception. It tastes like they managed to liquify apple crisp and put it in a can with a little bit of fizz. Unlike most of the ones I drink, this one has no caffeine. Sometimes, I try to lay off the caffeine while still sourcing some energy. The good news is, this one does it well.

I will admit up-front I am a bit of a Bang junkie. I have tried every flavor they make - all 18 at the time of this writing. I like the fact that Bang doesn't include some of the artificial ingredients in other energy drinks, including completely useless coloring.While I try to not consume caffeine every day, I do enjoy having something to drink other than water, which is why I decided to try caffeine free Bang. The first one I tried - Black Cherry Vanilla - had a weird after taste. Some days it wasn't as bad, but overall there was something unpleasant about the taste. This Purple Pear Guava flavor is very good though, with no discernible after taste. Not exactly the same as the caffeinated version, but very good nonetheless.

WARNING CAFFEINE FREE. Listen, I enjoy the crisp deliciousness of a tasty tasty Bang energy drink as much as anyone, and possibly more than most people. HOWEVER, I do not drink this product for taste alone. I drink it for the energy boost I need for working out, and if coffee just isn’t doing it for me on a given day. I drank one of these without knowing they were caffeine free, and I noticeably did not feel any energy boost (which makes sense in retrospect). Only today, after drinking a second one, did I read the label more closely... devastated to see that it was caffeine free, I dumped the rest down the sink. (Flavor is still delicious though!)... just not what I’m looking for in my energy drinks.

So I drink two energy drinks a day it takes me about 9 hour just sipping through the day. I tried during the week to take myself down to one can a day and after the first day I said ok this isn’t going to work so I purchased another case which I didn’t realize was caffeine free I have another flavor so I had one of each one caffeine and one without and didn’t realize it till the end of the week that one was caffeine free at first I was upset then I realized I did it I dropped myself from 600 mg of caffeine a day to 300 mg a day so my mistake helped me accomplish my goal

I’ve seen a review on here that rated 1 star asking why caffeine free exists. While there could be many benefits to the brand offering caffeine-free, Here is why I bought them.I have a sensitivity to caffeine. However, my boyfriend does not and he drinks at least 1 regular caffeinated Bang Energy per day. I ask to take a little sip of his drink often since they taste so good! Finally I can drink some of the same flavors and not almost die in the process.I got Candy Apple Crisp which I personally believe tastes exactly like Tootsie Caramel Apple pops (I even did a side by side comparison). I love these caffeine-free Bang energy because I’m also not a fan of sugared soda, I don’t like the way my mouth and teeth feel after drinking sugared drinks.I have a suggestion to the manufacturer, PLEASE MAKE MORE FLAVORS! My favorite 2 flavors of Bang Energy are not in caffeine-free form yet so I can’t drink them, !!!Blue Razz!!! (My absolute favorite, Tastes like a jolly rancher and I wish this was a normal soda flavor!) and Purple Haze (tastes like Sweet-Tarts).

I love that there is an option without caffeine. Great for drinking in the evening. The flavor is what you would expect, as others have mentioned it tastes just like the old caramel apple suckers. It doesn't taste bad, just not something I enjoy enough to keep drinking. As can be seen in the pictures, the package arrived damaged leaving about a 3rd of the cans either hard to open or unable to set down without worrying about them tipping over and spilling. Not likely I will order these again.

So all cards on the table, I bought this not realizing that it was caffeine free. However instead of leaving a 1* I got to work considering the possibilities of this beverage. One of my drinking buddies has a heart murmer and as such needs to limit his caffeine intake. As such this is perfect for him when I'm making my Caramel Apple Bombs. Tastes same as the regular version but doesn't have the jet fuel levels of caffeine.This + Dekuyper Butterscotch Schnapps in a bomb glass. Try it out, you'll thank me later, then hate me the next morning.

purple guava, cherry blade, and candy apple are excellent flavors. Very close taste to the caffeinated versions. Cotton Candy leaves a weird aftertaste, though. It's not as good as the caffeinated version.
