Similar look but not a substitue for Fiskars
The Fiskars axes are suberb but have recently been hard to get hold of on Amazon. This axe was on offer when I bought it, and still more than some other offerings at this size. This axe is reasonable. It comes with two cases - a full head case, and an optional blade shield to make it less bulky to transport. The handle is comfortable and well formed. However don't buy it thinking it's the same as the more expensive brand.Pictures show, the quality and finish of the steel is significantly below that of the competitior. These two axes were bought within a week of each other and have seen similar use. While the Lexivon has started to rust, and the surface came pitted (disguised under black paint which has quickly abraded) the Fiskars looks next to new still and feels almost non-stick.I can live with an axe which needs the rust removing periodically. What lets this product down however is the lack of attention to detail on the cutting edge. You can see the care which has been taken in applying the cutting edge on the Fiskars, with uneveness on the Lexivon blatant just after light sharpening. The second photo shows top down views of the Fiskars against the Lexivon. The Lexivon has clearly been sharpened to different angles on each side and the cutting point is off centre. This can be corrected over time, but given that this is the most important part of the axe, it really should have been the main focus.Overall, it's fit for purpose - light use and quickly splitting kindling. But I do with I'd looked around some more and spent the extra to get the Fiskars.

Poor Product
This item is supposed to be sharp, quite simply it is not sharp at all and therefore renders it useless. Very disappointed with the product to say the least.
