Mclane Throttle Control - Choke Cable Replaces Part# 1013-97 / Heavy Duty commer

Shortened it by 3 inches, drilled two holes for mounting and bent the carb end to fit. Much studies than the plastic original that failed actuate the choke. Very Happy.

The throttle and cable assembly included mounting hardware, and the nuts were the anti loosening type as well. This was a perfect replacement for an older McLane edger. It replaced the OEM broken plastic one perfectly, just had to drill two holes in the plate. Cable was more than enough in length and with a little effort was properly sized for the job.My neighbor is ecstatic that this jewel of an edger repaired with this throttle and cable and the edger is in tip top shape with the new belt and blade I also found on Amazon!

Looks great heavy-duty only issue it came with a black handle red would of been better like the picture

These are awesome replacements for the original plastic controls. I’ve broken two of my original throttles on my mowers and edgers and replaced with this steel unit. Can’t beat it sense the plastic replacements are about $20, and you can get this for a few dollars more. Definitely a long term solution to the bad original product design! You won’t regret the upgrade at all!

It would not fit without some modification I ordered a different throttle cable that fit my mclane edger better.i could have made it work but I didn't want to drill and wanted it to look stock with the correct part
