My Hair is Magic!

I have a student whose racial make up is unknown… her hair is very much like the character in this book. She and her guardian struggle to manage it. I believe she found this book positive and empowering, which is invaluable. More school libraries should have books like these!

This book is perfect! So perfect it made me tear up while reading it to my daughter. I am also so in love with the illustrations!

Great book! I used to be so insecure about my hair as a biracial child. People don’t know how words can affect a young child on their appearance even with the smallest things they say. I wish I had a book like this when I was growing up. Great empowerment for young girls!

I Love this book and so does my son. The story is amazing! It is about an amazing little girl that loves her hair regardless of how big and curly it is. The pictures are so bright and beautiful!

The illustrations in this book are really gorgeous and the message is so positive and powerful I could not recommend it more enthusiastically!
