Dreambaby Wrist Buddy - Children's Leash to Keep your toddler in sight

I bought this for my 4 year old autistic son. I was a little worried that he would easily remove the velcro strap but found that the velcro strap is very strong and does not tear away easily. It works perfectly to keep my son close in crowded areas or when walking near busy streets. When we get to a safe area, I just remove the strap from my wrist and tuck it into his pants while he plays but can easily put it back on my wrist when its time to go or if a car is coming. Great product at an excellent price.

The wrist strap works well with my three, four and five year old. The five year old doesn't like to be tied to the others. When we tried to take the four children to the zoo, they didn't want to ride in a stroller but wanted to walk. They wouldn't listen and were often way ahead of the adults. Because they wouldn't listen we left the zoo. I ordered the wrist buddy the next day for all three. I use two clips to connect the two wrist buddys together and another to connect those to another clip thet had the other wrist buddy and a mommy's helper. Thus allowing all four children to walk but keeping them within reach. The only problem I have with them is the wrist strap is rough and the kids complain they scratch .

I wish it had a longer cord or one that would go out further and come back in. My granddaughter is special needs we are trying to encourage her to walk with us and not run away, this cord is good for that; however it doesn't give her very much room to walk or explore it makes her stay right beside us. Do you have one with a longer cord?

This item works very well. I convinced my son he is "walking" mom so I have not had any tantrums when putting it on him, he actually enjoys it. The has been no irritation on his wrist from using it and it seems pretty secure. The reach on it is pretty long so he doesn't need to stand directly next to me. I should have requested a specific color though because I did end up with the pink one which I dyed blue. I would say take the time to specify your color. I wish the seller made color choice an option when ordering rather than using messages.

I was never a big fan of the strap on the teddy backpack. It seems almost like a "leash". I said I wouldn't ever get one. Low and behold my son became a runner. All the time out he got or the safety speeches were just not sticking. I needed to ensure he learned a different way. I found these and felt it way less like a "leash". It feels more like a backup. We went out took it for a spin and he held hands he even stayed close (when not holding hands). All in all these were perfect, he couldn't take them off without me knowing or he wasn't completely stuck by 1 feet of strap he was able to walk a little bit easier as it did give him some room but he couldn't go far without me. even though now we don't use it anymore. It served as the right teaching tool I needed.

I wanted these to work, but my 22 month old could easily get out of the velcro strap. And a willing participant might not need a strap to begin with. Need something that is toddler proof.

I have a very petite 3-year old and this works wonderfully! Plus, she can't get it off on her own since the velcro is strong.
