Exciting and unique story
I read this with my 7 year old daughter and we could not wait to start reading every night. The story and characters are so unique, it is one of my daughter's favorite books. We had originally taken it out of the library and she loved it so much, she wanted to have a copy of her own to read over and over.

MAGICALLY FUN!
Drizzle is mysterous, magical and unique. I love the creativity of rain every Sunday, flying umbrellas and a heroine whose best friend is a chocolate rhubarb plant. There's so much fun packed in this book that all I can say is just READ it and ENJOY. Fans of SAVVY will especially enjoy DRIZZLE.Recommended for readers who are young at heart and love word magic.

Great story makes up for sometimes sloppy writing
There's a lot to like about this book. It's very imaginative, the characters are believable and interesting, and the story is gripping. It's not always easy to find books that my first-grader and fourth-grader will both love. I was occasionally distracted by sloppy mistakes in writing: phrases like "I shove my hands in my pockets and push my hair back, off my face" and the way the author switches between the present and past tense, sometimes in the same paragraph: "I was asleep in a second. I think I have a dream..." but my kids never noticed those, they're nothing a good editor couldn't fix, and I hope to see more from this author.

Great book enjoyed by the family
This was a great book. Myself, my wife and 9 year old daughter loved it. It's a good book for that age group. Looking forward to the authors next book.

Drizzle
What a wonderful book for kids and adults! A fantasy story with a great story line and alittle magic along the way. This story will have you hooked and you will not be able to stop reading it!

I didn't like this book at first, and then I loved it!!!
I started loving this book when Chico, Basford, and the other passengers got stuck on the umbrella, and Polly put her hand in the motor and pulled out the root and saved everybody.

Wonderful, crazy, silly book
This book has turned my I-don't-like-books daughter (11 years old) into a I-can't-wait-to-read-more child! It has humor, fantasy, excitement and even a few scary things. Unlike many children's books, where I wonder how children should learn how to write and speak correctly when the books they are reading are so poorly written, this book is well written and at a level that even a reluctant reader can easily handle - without being "dumbed-down". Two thumbs up!
