I purchased this cheap pruning secateur after a bad experience with Felco 2, which I returned.The JSDing secateur is less than a third the price of the Felco but performs much better and here's why, based on my experience using for two weeks:- The blade locking device, used when storing the closed secateur, is very strong, easily applied and, more importantly, does not ever accidentally engange in use.- Cutting action is very smooth and easily cuts through 12mm diameter softwood branches.- The central blade friction bolt does not loosen during use and, so far, has needed no maintenance, even though used heavily since purchased.I can't yet say how long the blades will last but, at this very low price, it wouldnt break the bank if I had to purchase a new unit.HIGHLY RECOMMENDEDUPDATE AFTER HIGH USEAGE OVER 2 MONTHSThese secateurs have worked really well. Only complaint is that the storage locking screw worked loose and I lost the entire screw assembly but the secateurs work very well.UPDATE AFTER TWO YEARSThese secateurs have worked faultlessly for two years! I have a single green wheelie bin collected every two weeks so need to cut all branches and trimmings down to small size for compacting. In other words, I've completed thousands of cuts in all kinds of hard and softwoods. Only recently have the blades become dull and I noticed that the price has been reduced by £2 so I've purchesed another two units to last me a lifetime!

Sharp, comfortable, cuts what I aim it at! Good quality for the money and I'd get them again.

These are very good for the price.

I was a little confused at first as to how to unlock them but once I worked it out they’re fine. Had no idea what the extra bit was inside the pack but realised it was the spring mechanism incase the other needs replacing. They’re super sharp and comfortable to hold so I’d recommend
