This test was designed to turn positive using virtually any liquid including just regular tap water. Please follow the instructions on the box and it will work perfectly every time. Remove the cap and submerge the tip of the test in a sample of water/urine for 5 seconds and remove to see it change positive (two lines) within 15 seconds. You cannot pour or run water/urine over the test because the results will be mixed and will sometimes show only 1 line (not pregnant) so it must be dipped in a sample for 5 seconds. It is best to use water or urine because liquids that are too acidic will not work.
