Artisan OwlCompass 4x Magnifying Glass Sliding Top Pendant Necklace, 30"

This is my 2nd magnifier necklace. The 1st was the Tree of Life design in gold tone. I now have the Mariner's Compass design in silver. The 30" length is just right for wearing and then being able to get close enough to comfortably use the magnifier. I received several complements on the 1st one and people were pleasantly surprised to see the magnifying glass behind the design. This is perfect for me as there seem to be more product descriptions in tiny print these days, not to mention menus in dark restaurants . Also, I'm a quilter/machine-embroiderer and this comes in handy often when I need to deal with very small disobedient stitches. I bought the 1st one over 2 years ago and got a lot of good wear from it. The magnet isn't working so well now, so I bought a new one. I think for the price it was a good buy, as they only cost abt $16. I was ready for a change in design anyway. This would be a great birthday or stocking stuffer present for moms and grand-moms. I think I'll do a little research to see if I can fix the older one as I still like the design.

I often need a magnifying glass, as I have trouble reading fine print. This is a magnificent way to “wear” one! It’s very pretty and I love the long chain! The price is right!

This was tough to wear for every day use. It’s a little heavy for me, but it did the trick and it looked nice. It just was not lightweight enough for my everyday use.

Bigger and more bulky than I imagined, but I still absolutely love the design.

I find I’m wearing it more then I thought I would. The first day I was asked to read some tiny print on a gift card someone received, then at a store buying a tiny product, I used it to read what I needed. Very helpful and nice to wear.
