SweetGourmetJoyva Sesame Honey Crunch, 16 oz

Both my husband & I love this item!! I introduced him to this candy/food item about 1 year ago. He does not much care for what I call "foreign" or "ethnic" food having grown up in the mid-west, with mid-western parents whose mother cooked standard "meat and potatoes" meals. I have tried to introduce him to middle-eastern, chinese, and all kinds of other foods. I think I snuck this in for him, he is now about addicted to it!! Initallly, I had ordered the largest amount I could find (in bulk) and together we have now finished it all. So, of course, I had to get more! We are making a good start on this next batch from Amazon. It is just as good as the first batch I had purchased, and for this one, I didn't have to pay shipping! Yaay!

The Joyva sesame candy are a real treat that takes me back to my childhood. I love these little candies! The pack isn't the most economical price, but it isn't like your average store will carry these candies, so it's certainly a treat to have every once in a while if you enjoy the rich and nutty taste of sesame alongside the sweetness of honey.The packaging is just a giant plastic bag - but they're individually wrapped so it's no big deal. The "big deal" is that they occasionally can have a weird, plasticy aftertaste that can sort of ruin the taste on some of the candies. However not all of them have this taste! My feeling is the mass packaging and plastic packaging might be giving it some funky flavor, so I guess it depends on how lucky you are with the packaging.

Shipping was prompt. Packaging was good. However, the 'bulk' product was actually more expensive (~$1 or 13% more) and not as good as available locally 'by-the-piece' in downtown Chicago.In addition, we were hoping that there would be nutritional information. There was not. Instead, there were 76 pieces in a plain plastic bag weighing 16.1 ounces.So, overall the vendor performed well but there was no value added.Quality Comparison-----------------------The wrapping was similar but the candy is less sweet like it contains HFCS instead of honey and the texture is noticeably coarser and seems to stick to our teeth a lot more. This made us miss the nutritional disclosures even more.Cost Comparison--------------------Bayside Candy on Amazon = $8.59 / 76 pieces = $0.113Downtown Chicago at Kramer's Health Foods = $7.60 / 76 pieces = $0.10 or about $1 less for the same quantity and we have the flexibility to buy as many or few as we like.In short, we found no advantage and will continue to drop at in the local health food shop and get our sesame treats along with a friendly smile and without the extra packaging waste or wait for delivery. Amazon's great, but you can't win 'em all.

When I was a kid my parents used to have these Sesame Honey Crunch candies in our house and I loved them so much! As I grew up I forgot about them until recently it came up in conversation at a family party. I ordered a bag of these Sesame Honey Crunch and they are just as delicious as I had remembered!! I shared them with my family and now we are all addicted to them AGAIN!! I regularly order these!

I really do enjoy these Sesame Honey Crunch. They're hard like peanut brittle, but easy to bit into. Because they're small, and wrapped very very well, I sometimes think I'm expending all of the calories just getting the candy out of the wrap. But they taste great and they're really good at satisfying my craving for something sweet without my going overboard ... at least not too far overboard!

My kids, and I, love this candy. The Indian restaurant we go to once a month or so keeps a bowl of it at the host stand, and it's all I can do to keep my kids from filling their pockets and making little pigs of themselves over it. The owner of the Indian restaurant said this was his favorite candy growing up. It's crunchy and tastes like honey and sesame.

We received generic, stale tasting candy which is very HARD to chew and we would not order these again. Proceed with caution! However, you can order Sezme with confidence, (which we did) and will receive tender crisp, delicious candy:  Sezme Sesame Snaps, 40-gram, (Pack of 24) .
