As incredible as it seems, this is an entirely new approach to green repair. It is a simple push/pull action that makes ball mark repairs easier, quicker and better. With the Spider Twister Divot Tool, you simply remove the twist off cap, insert the metal legs into the ball mark and pull upward. The patented technology of the Spider Twister easily pulls the damaged area flush with the putting surface. Tamp it and you're done. Better for the golfer and better for the golf course.

We'll see how long it lasts
I previously purchased the metal one and I can say the pitch mark fixing capability is great, as it will be with this one. The problem with the metal one is the tines loosen up and just spin around and no longer perform well. nor will they hold the cap on. So this design is incased in plastic so I'm hoping there is a bend in the tine where it's encased in the plastic so that the tines will not spin, which I can't tell as of yet. The part that's disappointing is the cap attachment which I don't expect to last. It's hard to put on and is held by a small lip on one piece and groove on the other. In some orientations the cap snaps on on quickly, in others it requires excessive force and this is just due to the cheap molding of the part. I'll do a follow-up after a season.

New and improved.
This is the second tool I've ordered. Loved the first one and decided to get my wife one too. Her tool came in black and made of metal. I believe its aluminium and I like it better than my plastic one. It feels much more durable and comfortable in the hands while fixing ball Mark's. My wife loves it and uses it every chance she gets. The cover also made of aluminum fits much better and will probably last a long time. I'll probably be ordering a third one because I liked hers so much. It repairs ball Mark's seamlessly and is the best tool for the job that I've used this far. Excellent design! Thank you for this remarkable tool.

Great innovation in-ball-mark repair
Great innovation in-ball-mark repair! Easy to use with great results in about half the time of traditional ball-mark tools! The cap occasionally pops off in the pocket, however that generally only happens when sod/turf/mud has fouled the tines preventing a good marriage of cap to body. If, if not when, this breaks or is left behind at some far flung golf course, I'll probably replace it with the heavier duty aircraft aluminum version.

I would buy again. And I have!
Works great. Three quick pokes at 3 diff angles and you are done. I don't twist it. I think that would be hard on the grass. The cover comes off with a quarter turn. The ball mark is small and thick. I use a separate one.Update: the first one I bought I didn't realize the top was threaded so I pulled it off. The threads are fine and I have trouble getting it to screw closed. I don't really think I caused the problem. I have since purchased another one and the threads are much thicker. I really like this tool.

It works, but the top is a not tight fitting.
I really like this tool, it works, but there is legitimate concern about the loose fitting cap. It really needs to be re-tooled, since it falls off and is somewhat difficult to find the sweet spot where it stays on. Not enough of a problem to make me stop using it. I just wish more people would fix their ball marks, this does a wonderful job, with little effort.

Great tool!
I've had this tool for 4 days short of two months and love it. This should be one of the "gifts" you receive during the Member Guest events.Push in pull out, very simple. If need be, do it again on tough pitch marks. Then tap down with your putter. Sometimes, you do not have to tap it down. Get one and see for your self.Harry
