Awesome mixer. I already had a model 24 but wanted a mixer to use with my mpc after a few audio interfaces either failed early or just didn't work from my start. This things amazing with an mpc. If you need a class compliant mixer this one is trouble free.

Highly versatile, and effortless DAW and DAWLESS recording.
What a great machine this is and I'm disappointed that I didn't discover it sooner when I was looking for a small mixer for use in my hobbyist home recording arrangement. I'm a guitarist and play some keyboards and occasionally cause aural havoc with my vocal efforts and was looking for something to enable "multi-track" recording, by this I wanted the ability to record 8 or more tracks simultaneously to my Apple Mac Logic Pro software package. That was my primary thinking. What I found is that the Model 12 will do this WITHOUT the computer which frees you up, however in DAW controller mode it also enables you to feed directly to the computer with ease too. I've yet to decide which method I prefer, possibly because I like the visual reference you get when it's sent to the computer, however there is also something very liberating by recording directly on the Model 12. That makes it so portable as a "live" recording machine.For the price this machine is brilliant.
