Favorite SA Travel Book
I purchased at least 7 books for a San Antonio trip I took earlier this week, and this was by far my favorite. It was reasonably updated and had clear concise thoughts and ideas of what to do and where to go and what to eat and where to stay. I highly recommend (note though that I only used the San Antonio portion of the book).

Austin And San Antonio Sites To Visit
I bought this for a friend who lives in Austin but is always visiting in San Antonio. She was complaining recently about running out of things to do in both cities. Is she nuts? There is plenty to do and see in both places. This book will help her in her endeavor to find activities she hasn't done and places she hasn't visited. I learned about sites I wasn't aware of (yes, I peeked in the book before I gave it to her). We both recommend it for the curious and the adventurous in Texas and for out-of-state visitors to both cities. Oh, we just recommend it to everyone.

Almost nothing on Austin
I am satisfied with the level of content for San Antonio, and I like the overall approach, but there only a few pages for Austin. This is not enough.

Excellent travel assistant!
Very easy to use -- great suggestions and tips! I especially liked the top ten ratings for many different categories. The maps were also very helpful. I would definitely recommend this for San Antonio!

Only a few pages on Austin
This book has some nice suggestions, but don’t be fooled by the fact that Austin is included in the title, because there are only a few pages about Austin. This is the only Eyewitness Travel guide for Austin, but the book is all about San Antonio. I bought the book when I first moved to Austin to help me familiarize myself with the city, but it has been useless for that. Don’t waste your money, unless you’re looking for a travel guide for San Antonio. There are literally only 6 pages about Austin in this 128 page book. Why did they even bother including Austin in the title??

So helpful to plan a long weekend trip for a first visit to San Antonio. Did not visit Austin so cannot speak to that portion.

Mis-guided!
I am a big fan of eye witness travel guides, but the set up of this one is, to say the least, disappointing. It has no logic in it, and in my opinion, is next to useless. No division in what you can find in which city. Everything is to be found criss cross through the book. However...if you love puzzles; buy this guide. It will give you hours of pleasure figuring out where to go to next.
