I bought this over a year ago and got it for an absurdly low price (under $100), and for that price it is the greatest bargain of all time. I have not used other >$400 units before so I cannot compare it to others in this price range. What I can say is that this unit has been great do far. The calibration solutions worked well and this unit has held it's calibration for over a year (i.e., it hasn't changed much when I recalibrate it. Everything about it screams "I work" as opposed to pH pens, which are my only other point of reference, and scream "I'm not a good product." I recommend getting some squirt bottles for rinsing and cheap stir plate as well if you are going to do titrations with it (which is what I was doing, titrating to an endpoint).
