great printer for a great price
what I like: I am Using windows 10 with Lenovo G780(discontinued) also works with acer Chromebook. The print and scan quality is amazing, i don't print too much, the ink is priced reasonably you can get both color and black for about 30 bucks. i bought a 300 dollar Samsung laser printer that died in 1yr i was mad.i feel like ill get my monies worth with this one.so far I printed resumes, documents all wirelessly and scanned wrinkled letters that came out like new.super simple set up to WIFI,super easy app to navigatevery compactdislike:even when i print black and white, my color drops more than black ink

Very Nice Home Printer - Once you get it figure out
It came in pretty fast about three days. Easy to unpack....but a little difficult to start up. Let me explain. My wife and I are not computer savvy at all we are past 65. So it took us two days to figure out everythingspecially y how to connect to the internet. For a person that knows what they are doing easy I'm sure. The HPexplanations are printed for those people that know just about everything. But for us older computer No Knowsis hell on earth. It would be nice if HP printed step by step format push this do this etc one step at a time. I could not connect to the internet what so ever, thought that the machine would be picked up by my computer and that was it. Took me 2 days to figure out that you have to press the darn Internet button on the machine it lights up that is when the computer finds the printer. Well me dummy did not know that and it took me two days. The HP instructions does not say a thing what so ever about this. Only to connect and go to the HP site where it asks you info on the printer so it can connect. Any ways once I figure all of this out the little printer did its job and it greatwe probably print three times one or two or three pages per month so this machine is great for us.

Worst Printer Ever!!
I have had this printer for a couple years and it is an absolute nightmare and I am a trained IT person. HP has it default to an ink subscription but I opted for stand alone ink i.e. bought my own cartridges here on Amazon. The black #67 cartridge brand new out of the box in date didn't work. Printer said there was ink in the cartridge but it would never print black just a blank page. It will print color. I recently did a factory restore to attempt to resolve the issue and the restore failed and it now seems to be bricked. The HP help is a loop .. same answers over and over with no results and sending you into redundant virtual loops. I tried to use wi fi direct as a work around but to find out the password you need to be able to print in black. I have only printed about 25 times since ownership. So with ink included price was roughly 10 dollars a page for the use it provided.Update: It is now UNBRICKED.. seems that unplugging it while power on to printer worked (maybe). Nice that it will print blue or a shade of yellow or green. NO black. Most likely the NEW black cartridge is bad. I did try to dampen heads to unclog but still no black ink. So the small black cartridge that came with it shows ink but doesn't print and the brand new one won't print either and shows full. I am reluctant to keep buying #67 ink to see if I find one that works. Also if you don't print often the ink clogs and you have to go through the clean and or wet to get it going. I have a very old HP that gets used a few time a year and it always prints. I wonder if the subscription service always works on these new printers but if you don't want that continual expense you deal with the described issue.

It’s kind of a pain to connect but once I figured it out it works fine.
Update: it is kind of a pain to connect everything but once I sorted through all of that the printer works fine.I liked the idea of being able to print from multiple devices but it’s not so easy. I have two iPads, a laptop, and an iPhone. I would like to print from all of them. Here’s the problem I have. The laptop won’t connect properly so it not only won’t print, I have to go through this reboot process to clear the print jobs that won’t print. I got that out of a 45 chat session with an HP tech.Let me sum this up. This printer works pretty good as long as I send all my print jobs from the same iPad, and only if I work through the HP Smart App. Any variation and I’m in for a thirty minute reboot.Would I recommend it, NO
