5/8'' x 7'' Turning Tool Indexable Boring Bar S16Q-MWLNR08 + S16Q-MWLNL08 with 10pcs WNMG080404-CM Indexable Carbide Turning Inserts for Metal Lathe Turning Tools

The design of this boring bar has a defect. The machine screws that hold the carbide cutter...their allens will round out and in the case of the external clip the screw will break. When you use this tool you need to use both the top and under side allen sockets to spread the stress out so that is not on only one screw end. Replacement screws I have not found BUT for the clip screw you can work the broken part out and slowly drill out the threads so you can use a common 8mm allen screw. Slowly is the key work and with plenty of thread cutting oil because the clip is plenty hard. I used a cobalt drill bit and it took me a good half an hour to drill out the center.

Despite it being written in the title and the description these bars are NOT 5/8" they are 16mm which means they will not fit in any 5/8 tool holders
