The Baby Clause: 2.0 (The Contract Series)

So sweet
The Baby Clause is such a cute, quick read. Nothing makes you swoon like a dad who's lost his heart to his girls. The hard-edged manipulator we met in The Contract is the one being manipulated - by sweet baby girls. This book is low on angst. Well, it's low on relationship angst. It's pretty high on learning to handle the chaos that can come with babies. If I weren't already head over heels about Richard VanRyan, this sweet story would've done it. It's a great addition to a fabulous series

Oh yeah. I love this book.... Amazing !!! I hope the author doesn't mind me using a highlight from her book...💖💖💖 I hope you enjoy it too...
“Good thing I love you so much I don’t mind being knocked up again.” I dropped a kiss to her head. “Good thing, indeed. Think it will be a boy this time?” “We’ll find out soon enough.” I eased us into the shallow end, and held her close. “Yep. And if not, we can keep trying.” “Is that a fact?” “I’m willing to give it my best shot. Show Suzanne how much of an overachiever I really am.” She sighed in contentment. “This from the man who didn’t want children.” “I want everything with you.” I squeezed her, suddenly feeling serious. I spread my hand over her stomach. “Thank you, my Katy.” “I love you, Richard.” “I love you, sweetheart.” I smiled. “I love you, and I love our life.” I knew how lucky I was. How different my life had become, how I had changed since I fell in love with her. She had changed me for the better. She filled my life with great moments. The ones Penny told me to hold on to. She covered my hand with hers, looking up at me. “Me, too.” I bent down and kissed her. The monitor crackled and Gracie’s babble filled the air. “Dadadadadada.” I fist pumped the air. “Told you!” She laughed. “I guess you did. You’re being paged.” I hauled myself out of the pool, grabbed a towel, and headed toward the house and my new, favorite sound. Dada. Yeah. Another great moment. Thanks to my family, life was full of them

This is a quick, cute and fun extra to the Contract series
The Baby Clause 2.0Contract Series #2Melanie Moreland⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This was a cute fun little extra in the Contract series, we saw the change that came with Richard when Katharine changed his life for the better, now it’s time to meet the new VanRyan. In a hilarious birth story this dad to be was a great mess of nerves, indecision and incredible love for his wife. Seeing Katy become a mum was bittersweet for her when her life was anything but loving! Katy and Richard take on parenting with all the gusto I grew to love in their story.Baby Gracie is the perfect addition to this series, I look forward to continuing the fun, the tears, the unbridled love of Richard and Katy VanRyan

Cute Story
I liked that Katy and Richard’s story continues. The ending of Book 1 left me wanting more of these two. So this was a nice short story. Really could skip and go at straight to Book 3, but if your vested this is a nice continuation and builds more depth into their relationship.I debated between 3 or 4 stars. Really nothing to do with the writing or story plot. It was just so short and I didn’t feel a necessity to read. It was a nice to read. Could have been written into Book 3.

5 stars!!
You need to read The Contract before starting this novella. The Contract is one of my favorite books ever and I highly recommend it! I have been counting down the days until this novella was released. I started it as soon as I woke up, because I love Richard and Katy so much and I wanted more! I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of them.Richard has changed so much from the moment he really got to know Katy, but he can still be a little rude sometimes. He’s talented and passionate about his work, but his family comes first now. He drops whatever he’s doing if his family needs him. Richard is an amazing dad and husband! He loves Katy so much, just as much as Katy loves him. Katy is sweet, loving, caring and loyal. She knows Richard through and through. It was sometimes funny how good she knows him. Katy is a wonderful mother and wife! Richard and Katy are a solid, beautiful and perfect couple.

You had me at DAda!
This was such a joy to read! I loved Richard in The Contract, even when he wasn't all that loveable. Watching his transformation due to the love of his Katy, is my idea of a great romance novel. Melanie didn't keep him from further development, however. Watching him become Dada to his Gracie just floored me, and in a very good way! The best of ways! I couldn't keep the smile off my face while reading this. Every moment from him rushing to the hospital, the $400 valet tip, the "what's the name" confusion, to the big needle moment had me in stitches! Then I was in serious "awww" mode watching him become Dada! I love that this book focused on this. It showed us just how far he has come. Although, I'm happy about the adult time too. LOL. Richard is a classic book boyfriend, in my opinion. What girl doesn't dream of transforming a bad boy? Katy continued her role as one of the best book heroines by recognizing what he needed and giving it to him without compromising her status as a strong women. Although, like most women, she may have moments of self doubt, she doesn't let it consume her. Together they are perfect! As was this book!

short
It was slightly a little bit too short, but I’m glad it was written for the second book. But maybe it was best for more details that could’ve been in the book and the next one

Fofura!
Livro curtinho! Nada mais do que um dia no escritório, quando Richard precisa levar sua bebezinha junto com ele para uma reunião importante. Muita fofura envolvida!

Short but too cute!
Richard & Katy embarked on a new journey with the arrival of their newborn baby. Richard went from not wanting to have children at all to being the most loving, caring, patient and protective dad ever! I was so happy to see him earning a family he never had in his childhood and I'm glad that he found happiness with Katy and even Graham, Laura, Jenna and their entire clan. This epilogue novella was short but really sweet and enjoyable and it definitely have me closure.

Richard steals Daddy of the Year Award! Hands down!
Ack! Richard plus baby equals ovaries exploding. Seriously, how can this man get any better? I loved watching him grow in The Contract, but this takes the cake. From the first moments where a panicked Richard realizes his Katy is in labour, this book had me. But his heartfelt nighttime talks with his baby girl, his worry about missing her significant milestones, and his wonderful take charge attitude were top notch!Could this former jerk get any better?

Pity its so short, especially compared to the first book.I enjoyed every moment.I was a working mother of 3, and I now have 9 grandchildren so I appreciated every moment. Plus the fact that its well written , with no grammar or spelling errors, which I often find in ebook...Thank you Melanie

A fabulous wee read
I grew to love Richard in The Contract, even though he started out as a real unlikable arse!Seeing how life with Katy softened him and how she became his world was great. Now in The Baby Clause we got to see yet another side to the man who never thought he'd find love never mind a wife and family! His concern about not being a good parent was sad but Mr VanRyan should have learned by now that sometimes he isn't always right and he should always listen to his wife!Sweet, fun and with some real heart warming scenes, TBC is a great addition to The Contract series and a must read for those who enjoyed Richard and Katy's story from the start.Well written, with feeling, warmth and loads of cute daddy and baby bonding, this is a fabulous wee read from one of my favourite go-to authors, Melanie Moreland
