I love reading Victor’s writings because they are always so insightful. This booked delivered above expectations and motivates me to go out and solve those big challenges in the workplace.

Very good book on recession management . The last chapter is a bit like a sales copy but never the less its one of the best book about recession management .

I can't believe the number of 5 star reviews. I feel totally misled. The author rehashes well known business success stories and tries to pass them off as exceptional recession proofing. Disney? Hewlett Packard? Domino's Pizza? Charles Schwab? Come on dude. Please. Not to mention pithy little comments like: Make your business unique! Make marketing an investment - not an expense! There are no redeeming qualities, no actionable information or even relevant case studies. I feel totally ripped off. Could be the worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon, and I make plenty.

Nothing super ground breaking, but a quick read to help you brush up on business tactics in a down market. The stories of other companies weren't overly long, and got to the point quick which I liked.

Victor Cheng has given presentations on the study that formed the basis for this book. After hearing his comments I read the book for more details, adn found it detailed yet easy to digest. His examples are cogent to our times, even though some of them occurred decades ago.The important point I want to make is that Victor has identified the eternal principles that allow businesses to thrive and grow during challenging times. If you pay attention you can put these practices into use immediately no matter what the size of your enterprise, from a major firm to a one-person shop.Like the businesses he studies, I encourage the reader to put aside his or her preconceptions and open themselves to an enjoyable read that may change their fortunes.

Opening chapters are eye opening and a great sigh of relief.. There is hope!
