Excellent product, great price.
I have personally found this product to be excellent and easy to use.Reading through previous reviews, I was a little hesitant at first to purchase the product -- but I read a more recent review saying the quality of the stencils has been improved. I ordered the product and I can confirm that this is indeed the case - the stencils were no problem whatsoever. There was a tiny piece in the 5's that I had to move out of the way with a paper clip, but it was very easy. It was already punched out - all I had to do was just move it out of the way. I recommend gently moving the tiny pieces away before peeling the stencil off the backing. Normally I wouldn't even bother, but I am a stickler for detail. That said, the etchings came out very crisp and look professional and clean. The kit is very simple and easy to use. The instructions are very thorough and easy to follow. Overall, I am very glad that I chose this product over a more expensive alternative. It is also worth mentioning that the stencils and etching cream are easily reusable.I only recommend that before etching the VIN into your car's windows, you think about where you want them and make sure they're all nice, even, and level. I'm glad I thought about this before I etched my glass.Additionally, I have found it very helpful to move the stencils up and down while peeling them slowly off the glass, to make sure none of it gets left behind on the window.Once again, easy to use product, and a 15-30 minute job. Very satisfied.

Excellent service. Improved stencils. Cost Effective Product.
I have ordered these kits before (a few years ago) and I had similar problems with the stencil quality as other reviewers have posted; I recently ordered a new set for a different vehicle and they must have heard these complaints and have demonstratbly improved the quality of the stencils and come in a sharp clean font with no need to clean up the stencil after applying. Product works well, is easy to apply and is competitively priced.

Lowered our insurance.
This kit was exactly what I wanted. The instructions were clear. Following the directions the etching went just as it was supposed to! Simple or easy to do. The VIN came all in a stencil, that was clear and easy to apply. It took me about 45 minutes to complete task. The certificated given helped reduce our insurance. I'm order another set for our cars.

Fantastic !!
Hello,Just bought a new vehicle and decided to VIn etch the windows. I have VIN etched before when I worked on auto theft cases. The last vehicle I etched was 15 years ago. It took about 1 hour, just follow the directions. Make sure to apply the stencil with care, so as to not roll any edges of the font. Painter's tape all around the stencil. Apply the creme heavily and evenly, then smooth out the creme to give it a medium coating. Let sit for 20 minutes.Great job on all my windows. Thanks for the fine product !

Not professional
If I could zero stars I would. The stencils were not cut clean. The font that they use is not very professional, an old typewriter font. Save your money.

Does the job, but not the highest of quality.
The main challenge with this product is that the supplied decals with your VIN on them are not cleanly punched. The cuts are not crisp such that when you peel and then apply the decals you must spend a considerable amount of time using the end of a paper clip (supplied, incredibly by the vendor) to dislodge tiny portions of letters and numbers where the punched areas did not stay with the decal backing. Since there are 8 decals, and each VIN is fairly long, this can be quite time-consuming. What seemed to work best is to apply the decal lightly to the window in the destination desired and THEN use the paperclip to remove left-over portions where you want the acid to bleed through. Trying to open these areas out before applying the decal can be difficult. Also: don't press the decal on firmly until you've got the left-over blockage removed. Even then, complex letters like "M" or "W" won't look precise -- but in the end the result seems acceptable and the VIN is indeed readable. My own experience was that I thought it was going to turn out pretty poorly based on the decal problems, but in the end the result looks pretty good. So you can make it work if you keep your cool and have some patience. The vendor could improve the product significantly if the decals were cleanly punched as supplied! Also, the supplied plastic 'mits' are very low quality and do not hold up during the process.

SImple Etch, Easy Kit
I used this to etch the glass of my wife's SUV. There were more windows than templates, but I was able to carefully peel the template from the front windows and place them on the rear most windows, though the letters did stretch a bit. They are still readable and overall the kit was super easy to use. I would recommend the home gamer as it was very easy and I can't imagine paying someone to accomplish this simple task when these kits are available.
