Incredibly solid
Iโm so glad I listened to Eric O from YouTube in purchasing this light. Itโs really hard to explain how solidly itโs made. At the time I purchased this it was $50 for both the light and the charger. At that time, the light itself was $49 and the charger $35 individually. And this deal was made through Amazon. Sold and shipped by. I may just get a second one. The charger has two fairly strong magnets that will hold it to the side of your toolbox. It can charge two lights at the same time. In the bottom edge, there is a maximum one amp output, USB port. Itโs hard to show the output of the light this unit puts out. Iโm going to enjoy using this light all around my house and for fixing cars. I donโt understand some reviewers stating โget a name brandโ. Astro is a name brand and a excellent one at that. Iโm also doing some testing on it since people are saying it doesnโt last that long. I put it on the one side setting at a low light setting and itโs been on for over eight hours and there are two green LED indicators still showing. Going to recharge it and see how long the twin lights last. Will update later. Update: the magnets that hold the light to, say medal frame is not that strong. The slightest bump and she falls. NOT a deal breaker. When it falls, nothing happens to the light. Still, I donโt like seeing it fall.

The last light you will need
The Astro Tool 52SLC folding LED slim light has been a huge upgrade compared to other similar lights Iโve used in the past. Iโve struggled before with lights that werenโt bright enough or died way too quickly, but this one fixes both problems. These provide all the light you need, whether youโre working under a vehicle or in tight engine bays. The doubleโsided design is extremely useful, the brightness is excellent, and the battery life has been solid so far. The wireless charging pad is a total game changerโno more fumbling with cords or wornโout charging ports. Itโs convenient, fast, and just works. Overall, this light feels well made, powerful, and reliable. If youโve been disappointed by other work lights before, this one is absolutely worth it.

Let there be light!
Where has this been my whole life? I will never go back to those shop lights that have the little swivel magnetic ball with USB charging again! The magnet on this is very strong and sticks to about any surface at any angle with no issues. the head of the light swivels both directions giving lots of options to get the light right where I need it. While the bottom magnet is fairly strong on flat surfaces, it can sometimes be a small challenge to place it just right since it's a wider base than one thinks. This light has 3 modes, 1st: both side LED COBS light up, 2nd: 1 side lit, 3rd: top led for a little flashlight. These modes are super easy to change with just the push of a button. To change the brightness, just hold down the button and it will ramp down, and then back up. Release the button to stop at a certain brightness. It will also remember this choice when powered off and back on. Right above the buttons is the battery indicator (4 leds). After a few hours of use and needing a recharge, I simply throw it up to the magnetic base, let the wireless charger do its thing and grab the other light from the charger. The magnetic charging base was a game changer for me. It made it so convenient to store always charged and cleared up some space from my tool box. Overall I would highly recommend these to any diyer or professional mechanic out there. Pros: - Magnetic charging base - 3 lighting modes that cover most any situation for light need - Accurate battery indicator (even shows while charging) - Top led actually became a lot more useful than I initially thought - Smooth brightness ramping - LEDs swivel both ways - Can warm your hands a little on those super cold days Cons: - Base is a little wide and can sometimes be challenging to find a good spot to put

Wish I would have had years ago
If youโre on the fence, give this light a try. I use work lights like this all day long doing collision repair. This light is robust and sturdy, the โspotโ light is actually bright enough to use, and the โbarโ light(s) are super bright, but dimmable. Infact, the bar light, which I use most often, is almost too bright unless you dim it. Great thing is, after you dim it to an appropriate all-day brightness, the battery will last all day, at least for me, and I have this light on 80% of the day on average. I will buy another light just in case as a backup, since there are two spots for two lights on the wireless charging pad. The wireless charging padโs magnets are plenty strong enough to mount on a vertical surface, and the lights hang well, with no fear of dropping. $120-30 bucks gets you two of these lights and wireless charging. I love it, hope you will too if you give one a try.

4/5 Stars, after a year just 2/5.
I've owned this work light for about a year, and overall it has both impressive strengths and a couple disappointing weaknesses. On the positive side, the battery life is outstanding. I've used it for up to eight hours during a workday and have never completely drained it. It's also very durable and has handled drops and everyday impacts without any issues. The brightness is excellent, making it a very useful tool for daily work. However, I experienced two reliability problems. The small LED at the tip stopped working after only one month of normal use. Then, after about a year, the magnetic base completely detached from the light, which significantly reduced its usefulness. Overall, I like the brightness, battery life, and impact resistance, but the long-term durability of some components needs improvement. If the manufacturer fixed these issues, this would easily be a five-star work light.

52SL Astro
Best worklight I've ever used, it's the only one I can drop(which I do daily) and doesn't break. There's an updated version with more lumens but this one is plenty bright. The magnet is strong and having the wireless pad is convenient for charging. Keep in mind if you run it at full brightness the battery will be out in about 90 minutes, I recommend reducing it to about 50% or so. Brighter isn't always better, because of glare. These lights aren't cheap but they're the ones you want for work.

Flexible, bright work light usable in almost any work situation
This light can act as a narrow beam torch, or perform as a single or double-sided flood light. Double-sided flood light mode is activated via a dedicated switch. The "normal" power switch simply cycles between "off", "torch" or "single-sided flood light" modes. The base of the torch contains a very strong magnet that secures the light firmly to any ferrous/magnetic surface and won't slip or slide under its own weight. It also comes with an integral hook in the base that allows you to suspend it above you if/when the magnet can't be used. When operating as a flood light, the light distribution is well balanced, eliminating most (if not all) shadows in your work area. Recharging can be effected via direct connection of a USB-C cable or via Astro Tool's magnetic induction charging plate. This means that the charging plate can be secured to a wall, thus keeping the lights out of the way whilst charging yet still be conveniently within reach when needed. The charging plate itself is powered by a USB-C cable. The articulated hinge allows you to angle the light to meet your needs whilst allowing the torch itself to remain affixed in a stable position. Highly recommended.

Best mechanics light
This is far most the best work light I've came across. Have lights from multiple brand like snapon, matco and etc but this light is the best for the job

Device is good quality
Fantastic light, works wonders. Just be aware this product comes with US 2 pin plug which is no good for anyone in the UK, the product description doesn't seem to state this, it only shows " comes with USB-C adapter" will require a 5v 2ah output adapter. Also if you have a different lamp using USB to USB-C then there is a central port that can be used to charge that on the charging base also.
