Strike-A-Light Arrow Head, Steel

This is a nice compact striker it is hard carbon steel so it’s a little hard to get a good spark using flint but it works excellently if you use a piece of iron pyrite with the pyrite it throws plenty of sparks and ignites char cloth really well great for making an altoids tin fire kit

while i didnt really need another means of starting a fire , i just couldnt pass up the arrowhead pendant. upon receiving it i was pleased that the seller also shipped a piece of chert . within 15 minutes of receiving it i had a small fire out in the yard . ( im like a kid at christmas whenever i receive something in the mail) . so after using it , i cleaned it up and put a forced patina on it using vinegar and mustard . i then put a clear coat laquer on it so it would not rust from contact with my skin if i choose to wear it as a pendant. i then strung it on a piece of o.d. green paracord with an antler slide . i looks pretty bad ass . i thought about sharpening one side or maybe even adding some serrations in order to have an extra cutting instrument on hand , but i may just do that some other time down the road..

It is very heavy and thick so should last but is not quite convenient. Also it should be more clear that this is only carbon steel and you still need flint or a mag stick to make a spark. It would be nice if a mag spark rod cold fit in a slot in the arrowhead.

I didn't research enough to see this company makes different models. I would have gotten a different one as this one is a bit hard to hold in my fat hand. It works, but I would have gotten another model had I know it was available.

It looks small than I imagined. I even used a ruler to assess whether or not to buy this product. Otherwise it is good.

I like it as a striker but the ad said you can where it as julery and after about 4 days it trend all brown from rust so don't know how you wood where it as julery if it is going to rust

great for your ferro rod save your blade also good for flint takes a little practice because it is so light.
