Enya - The Video Collection [DVD]

this enya video collection on dvd is absolutely brilliant !! i bought it when it was first released for the price of £19.99. sadly my home was burgled in 2005 while in a respite care home for the disabled, All my dvds were stolen amongst many other items. i was most upset over not having enya dvd any more which was my pride and joy, enya dvd was the cream of my collection. i have never been able to replace it with a brand new version under £100. why is it so rare, expensive and difficult to acquire. in sheer desperation i have had to download enya's videos from itunes (to date the video wild child not available on itunes so my collection not yet complete) onto my laptop which although very good (i play them every week) sadly isn't the same as owing the original dvd disc which has enya's photo on. there are cheaper copy versions in circulation so i have found out. i'm still in search for the original, i sincerely hope it is re-released as i predict it will be a best seller.

The technical quality of the DVD itself is OK - no problems of playback etc so far.Yet, as some other reviewers have meantioned earlier, the sound quality oon this DVD is not as excellent as it might be regarding Enya's superb music and studio sound arrangings. The conclusion is, actually :) - it is time to republish this (and more) material on Blu-ray with restored/ improved sound and picture quality!

This is a rare and beautiful video, to the best of my knowledge unavailable as cd or dvd, so with ancient vhs players, have had to replace my copy a few times as the tapes gets mangled, so save playing for special occassions! The filming is imaginative, creative and a delight watch, and I cannot hear the music without recalling the visuals. The whole thing is Enya, hauntingly beautiful.

You may say I'm an Enya fan, since I own almost everything she has published. Despite of that, I had never seen her videos. Which I now regret. I have just received the shipping from Amazon and have to admit that the visual material surely adds to Enya's music. It's a small set of dreams.... and when it's over you discover 50 minutes have breezed by. And you wish to start over. In the short interview on the disc, Enya tells her songs are mostly based on emotions.... Beautiful and intense emotions indeed.If you enjoy her music, this disc is a must-have, definitely.Or, at least, I'm very glad I have it. :-)

More than expected!!There was Clip that I did not have seen before and fopr me as her probebly biggest fan it is fantasticyo see and to hear her in many of the videos!I will recommend this to my friends!

I love Enya's music. She has a beautiful voice, haunting and ethereal and her songs take the listener to a plane of peace and tranquillity. The videos are poetic and imaginative and they really enhance the songs especially when Enya graces the video with her appearance. The viewer is transported to Enya's magical world.Gerry Mc Menemy.

The genius of Enya is showcased on this often delightful set of music videos. If some of the video concepts don't always match the pictures in your mind that the songs conjured - that doesn't matter in the end. They are enjoyable in their own right.

On this video, I learned a lot about Enya that I didn't know. I'm glad that she put her real story inside this DVD. She is not as mysterious of a person that I thought she was. She is a real person.I like the video very much, but I have to admit that the images on the videos in this DVD are not the same images I imagined while listening to these various songs on my CD's. It's beautiful the way she did it, and I wouldn't want to ever change it.I like this video very much, but have to admit that it is a bit expensive.

Ce DVD est tout simplement indispensable pour tous les fans d'Enya...Les audiophiles l'utiliseront certainement comme DVD de démonstration de ce que peut-être de la musique.A écouter si vous le pouvez avec un ampli à tube et visualiser avec un vidéoprojecteur, sans alors pour cela oublier la boite de mouchoirs en papier.L'émotion est au rendez-vous, tellement les images sont superbes et contrastées surtout avec les vidéos en 16/9.Les puristes remarqueront simplement un petit décalage au niveau du doublage son sur deux clip seulement, et un petit regret pour un flux PCM stéréo sans pistes codées en 5.1.La sortie du SACD hybride ou DVD-Audio certainement un jour, me précipitera pour acquerir le lecteur afin de redécouvrir cette trés tallentueuse chanteuse.A conseiller à tout les possesseurs de deux oreilles !!!

Einfach supergut, alle Video-Clips von Enya auf einer DVD. Wenn man das Alter der Clips bedenkt, sind Bild- und Klangqualität wirklich sehr gut.
