Nataraj Bold Dark Writing 10 Pencils Box With One Eraser Or Sharpener Free

At the time of purchase, these pencils were approximately $5 for a box of 10 including eraser and sharpener. The lead is strong, smooth and dense, leaving marks that are on the dark side of HB. These pencils no longer use the vatta wood that was employed previously, for better or for worse. The finish is attractive and nicely done, similar in quality to Staedtler. The sharpener easily gives a nice clean result, although it is not a long point. On my experience Hindustan sharpeners tend to wear out somewhat quickly over time, so I'll update this review if it stops working. The eraser is decent, not top of the line but definitely adequate for my writing needs, and it definitely does not leave any dust. The eraser sleeve is also perforated once around so when it gets partially used up, you can shorten the sleeve. Overall, while nothing really flashy, these pencils are made with a quality and attention to detail worthy of imitation. For the price, you can't go wrong!

Dark and smooth. Creamy without drag, these write like a quality #1, but with more hardness, so less frequent sharpening. Core is well-centered, and takes a long sharp point. The bold red and black lacquer is slightly imprecise, but with the imprint and end-dip of gold, this is a handsome pencil. Packaged with both a good white eraser and a sharpener, this is a fine everyday pencil for writing. It is also dark and grubby enough for sketching.

As a child, I didn't give pencils much thought. These, however, are worthy of consideration if you are looking for a quality, smooth writing dark pencil that holds a point better than a softer 2B or 4B lead would. While they are not a commodity pencil, the price is low enough for experimenting with if that's your thing. The included sharpener is good, I have not tried the eraser.

Out of the ten pencils, only four had properly centered graphite leads.

I was getting where the pencils ✏️ were too light, bought these, they made note taking so much easier.

I love these pencils as I used them when I was kids, so just want this for my kid, she loves them and these pencils tip doesn't not brake, Grip is so good, you can erase it proper.

I was excited to have found a nataraj pencil on amazon with quick turnaround for delivery. However, I was quite disappointed with the quality of the product I received. (please see images). The item was clearly placed into the box in bad condition, in my opinion. You can see the eraser and sharpener are completely separate from the pencils. I honestly don't see how the box could have been damaged this poorly in transit. There is a haze on the black end of at least 3-4 of the pencils. Scratches off with a little fingernail scrape, but I don't feel that is the norm. Also, I can assume is a result of the broken box, there is noticeable damage to many of the pencils at the writing end. Sure, a sharpen will remove most of these issues, but I don't feel this holds up to the quality I have seen from Nataraj in the past.
