3D Disneyland: Like You've Never Seen It Before

Use a quality pair of 3D Anaglyph Glasses
The images will "pop" if you get a pair of Red/Cyan (not Red/BLUE) glasses to view (these are available on line for around $7. -look for Pro-Ana) -they reduce ghosting and merge the pictures properly. Ultimately a wonderful book considering the price point in addition to the text. Some 3d pictures are fabulous as seen in the image provided! If it falls short in any department, it's the inherent nature of the photos that are either "ordinary" or don't utilize the possible compositional elements that can increase a dramatic three dimensional experience ie: foreground elements, scale, etc.. but, this dilemma is common among view master imageries alike. A worthwhile purchase and unique item!

Great Addition to Disneyland Library
This is a must have for the Disneyland fan. The 3D effect is good. But I was absolutely fascinated with the pictures because of the era. These are photos from a bygone time at Disneyland. And while Disneyland always changes, it is fun to look back and see how things were in the 50's and 60's. For example the Moonliner on the front cover. So if you have a Disneyland collection or are a huge Disneyland fan this is a great addition to your library. Comes with one set of 3D glasses.

Beautiful book!
The book itself is beautifully bound and printed. The images are unique and very interesting. The red/blue 3D glasses, however, are made for a child's head. They are very uncomfortable on my adult-sized noggin and don't register correctly. Luckily, I have my own set... now I just have to find them.

Worth buying if you enjoyed Disney as a kid! Many many memories for grownup Kids!
If you enjoyed Disney as a Kid, this is definitely worth buying for nostalgia reasons. One thing I did buy extra however is the, “Red-blue/Cyan Anaglyph 3D Clip-on Glasses with Box Case Glasses for 3D TV 3D Movie Game Clip Glasses” (Amazon listing), that works for adults so much better than the paper 3D glasses provided. This is a fun and interesting book, enjoyable to reminisce about better times, and one that elicits memories of years past. Nice piece of work! Thanks!

3D Magic!
When I was young, I owned a View-Master. I also think that I owned just about every disc that was ever produced! I used to get lost in those images, picturing myself at those far-away destinations. This book did that for me, 50 years later! I enjoyed every detailed 3-D image as I traveled through each section of Disneyland. So many photos brought back memories for me, and being able to view these iconic images this way made for a nostalgic and satisfying experience. I loved it!

Could have been great
I really wanted to give this book five stars because it is a great idea but...although there are some very cool pictures (for example from the skyway inside the Matterhorn), there are also many that are not as impressive; some of them do not even have a perceivable depth and look almost the same in 2D and 3D. Also, the glasses provided are very small and the red lens does not filter properly so the pictures look bad. I will buy better glasses to see if the experience improves but I anticipate it is a problem with the printing color tones rather than the glasses not working.

Anaglyphs. Why?!
Some fantastic old photos in here first of all. This had the potential to be a superb book. But when presenting a book of views from old stereo realist colour slides, why on EARTH did they think converting them to anaglyphs was the best idea idea?! Losing sharpness, detail, colour...I actually like anaglyphs but this book and subject matter would really have benefited from the original slides being reproduced and viewed with an appropriate viewer - similar to what the London Stereo Company can produce. A missed opportunity, I think. If you're into old Disney and are happy with anaglyphs, you will love this book.
