A taste of home
Just as I remembered, great in a cheese sandwich or with some French bread and cheese

Fantastic, and so carefully packaged!
A jar of Branston pickle is a staple in many British homes, and there is no American equivalent of which I’m aware, so it’s great to be able to order it here. I was hugely impressed not only by the speedy arrival of my tangy treat, but also how well it was packed; so much so I took a photo! It’s so awful when cans of longed for nostalgia arrive dented or jars of childhood memories are open or smashed to bits, and there is no chance of that here. 10/10; no notes! NB the second picture is the pickle next to one of its best friends, a cheese and onion pasty. I make them as a treat and Branston is the perfect accompaniment :)

Import version is kind of spendy, but has no HFCS!
Branston Pickle is a great addition to our home condiment selection. It's always been great with beef, but now I've added it to my pork recipes. We get the Brit version because the U.S. mix uses HFCS instead of real sugar.I have adapted a Steak Sinatra recipe to use pork tenderloin instead of beef. The Branston Pickle teams up with the Merlot and tomatoes just perfectly. This gives the pork an intensity of flavor that rivals beef in my recipe. And in my doctored version of Stubbs's BBQ sauce, a couple of tablespoons of Branston Pickle in the mix does wonders to add that savory umami flavor that accents the taste of pork ribs.If you've never had it, I can tell you that it reminds me a little of HP Sauce and has a similar but more intense effect on the meat.

Terrible packaging. Great product.
Wonderful product, but unbelievably bad packaging. I ordered three jars at once and they came packaged with the glass jars touching each other. One jar was broken, and another had the lid come loose and divulged its contents. I did get one good jar out of it for free since Amazon refunded my money. I would rather have had all three jars though. What a waste.

Old school delicious...but expensive!
I have loved and been eating Branston Pickles since I was a child in Ireland (50+ years ago!). One of my favorite ways to enjoy this delicious relish is to heat a loaf of French bread, unsliced, crack it open, butter the insides generously with butter, fill with warm rotisserie Chicken meat and slather it with Branston Pickle!! YUM!! Sadly, since Covid hit, it's no longer readily available on the shelves of the grocery stores I frequent, so I have to order it online at quite a price hike!It is STILL the same delicious pickle relish of my childhood, but now, as a senior citizen on a fixed income, it is simply one of life's guilty pleasures that I must enjoy in moderation (thanks Covid!!).
