Silk Road: A History from Beginning to End (History of China) Paperback – January 20, 2020

The title is tongue in cheek. Whereas this book does describe the paths of what has become euphemistically called a The Silk Road, it additionally relates the significance of it to Western cultures and Eastern cultures. Good job.

The Silk Road evokes images of adventure, mystery, travel to exotic lands and has always held a fascination for me.I really enjoyed reading about it’s history, the goods traded and also the exchange of philosophies, discoveries, arts and ideas.

Having alway hear of the SilkRoad this opened afascinating look 👀 ofhistory i would love to give all my friends and family a copy of this book

Kind of like a long encyclopedia article. It lacks detail and first person stories. But as an introduction it serves well.

Quick read interesting.

Loved this book. There is so much information about a subject that not many people are even aware of. I found it so very interesting that I may have found a topic that I will continue to read about going forward.

This is one of the greater ones in Hourly History series. I have long been influenced by the historic utility of the Silk Road using its precedent for my nation of airports, Transcendia. My plan is to have Transcendia do some of the same things, especially far as new aviation fuels we need to use because of climate changes.

This book has expanded my knowledge about the early trading between many peoples of the middle and far East. I now have a better understanding of the Silk Road!
