BEST TRULY POCKETABLE TORCH/SOLDERING IRON AVAILABLE and great customer service
I'm thrilled with this amazing little torch. I've bought many looking for a reliable, adjustable torch for soldering and other uses that is actually comfortable to keep in my pocket and this is the best I've found. This is a tiny little torch with extraordinarily precise adjustability, a thoughtful cap that attaches to both ends so you don't lose track of it, with a perfect tiny but effective foldout stand and helpful selection of tips that all even fit into a handy little case so you don't scatter the peices and lose them. These guys have managed to get just about everything right on this and I'm glad to have found it. My only word of caution is to note that this is intentionally a small torch with, necessarily, a low flame output so if you want or require something with a high output then this one isn't for you. In that case I highly recommend either of the two Dremel offerings sold on Amazon along with RAV as they both offer excellent products and superb customer service, but neither has a truly pocketable offering like this excellent product.

Use PREMIUM BUTANE
What a great torch.. I can't saying enough good things about this little beauty.. I've used them for more than a decade, and all I really need to say about it is that you can't improve on perfection. Only advice I'd want to give others is use premium butane, that's PREMIUM BUTANE. And the reason for that is, because it's fine tool but if you've ever taken one apart then you would know the fuel line is extremely small. What I mean is the line itself is a thick tube but inside diameter is very tiny. So, if you use crappy butane, then I promise you after three or four times of use it will be clogged and will no longer work properly if it works at all. USE PREMIUM OR BETTER, OR YOU'LL REGRET NOT DOING SO. Otherwise should last a long, long time. I had one I was using for more then five years. Because of clean butane.. I've also had them last five minutes due to crappy cheap dirty butane.

A little temperamental.
I loved this thing for the first hour Of use I put on this soldering iron. After that first hour though. Not so much. For whatever reason after I fire it up and it’s been sitting for 30-45 seconds warming up, the flow of butane goes very erratic and will completely go out. Unless I start to fluctuate the small lever up and down. I’m not sure what would cause this to happen. I treat my tools very very well. With that in mind, I bought the best butane I could find. It’s made by Xikar. I was debating buying another Iroda to keep with me at work, but I decided to hold off, for now, to see if the one I have gets better after using it for a while. Only time will tell. If you're looking for a soldering iron you can use anywhere I would try to find something other than the Iroda.Edit: I have owned and used this Soldering Iron for a while now. I am more happy with the soldering iron than I was initially. It’s still a little temperamental and consumes fuel pretty quick. It is However very convenient for small jobs where you don’t have a power source very close and/or it would take longer to get cords strung out than the soldering will take. I would recommend the Iroda soldering iron, just make sure your expectations are in line.

Defected product
I ordered this torch and had it sent to my place in Miami. But when I tried to use it, the butane chamber had a link somewhere in it and wouldn't hold a charge more than 5 minutes. You could hear the butane escaping. So the torch is useless to me. Unfortunately, by the time I got to my place in Miami, it was past the return date, so I can't return it to Amazon so now I'm stuck with this torch I cannot use. Very disappointing!

Not as good as the Radio Shack Original.
Not as good as the Radio Shack Original. I have one from Radio Shack that I bought more than 10 years ago. It was a solid performer but I finally wore out the tip until there was nothing left. I wanted to replace it with this one but the valve just isn't right. Adjustability is a bit difficult. I then took the tip and put it on my old one. I confirmed that it was much easier to work with on my older tool. I don't bother with the other tips much so I'll probably dedicate the new one to the hot blower exclusively for heat shrink and such. Next time I'll probably just buy a new tip.
