Mostly OK
The kit is OK. It's using the forward bulkheads and the main guns parts from the movie version to build the TV version which looks incorrect. There doesn't seem to be any aftermarket correction kits. Recomend getting robot version (same scale) with correct details and then use silicone and resin castings.

Not a pre-assembled model!
This is another clear case of false advertising on Amazon. This is NOT a pre-assembled model of the SDF-1, it’s a model ‘kit’. It’s being advertised as a pre assembled model, with almost nothing leading the buyer to be aware that it’s a kit. Its also not worth $135!

It's an okay interpretation of the TV Macross but some obvious details are missing such as the curves on the main guns. Also someone drew a red marker across my decal sheet destroying several decals. Since this model kit was imported from Japan I'm having difficulty getting a replacement decal sheet.

crazy nice model, expect a solid amount of effort to assemble.
just in case you don't read the product description or title, this is a model. super complex one. which is cool, if that's what you are expecting.
