Tissue Lame Gold, Fabric by the Yard

My daughter’s school has a junior takeover day at the end of the year and all the students wear clothing made from gold lamé. It is very hard to find in town. This was exactly what she needed to make her outfit.

The gold lame was perfect for the birthday crowns I made. It does fray quickly and extensively, so I used an iron-on stabilizer before I cut my shapes out. I also lined them with satin to make them less scratchy, preplanned. The recipients have loved their crowns.

The posted picture makes this look very smooth and shimmery, but when I received the fabric it has tons of tiny holes in it. This makes it look cheap and it makes it very prickly and itchy to touch.

Lame material for craft...came nicely packaged and will work perfectly for my project.
