I guess it works?
Super easy to install, just drops into a standard #10 filter housing. water flow slowed down just a little.. If this is for an ice machine or water dispenser, its fine though.. The hard part now, is finding a nitrate/nitrite test kit that is sensitive enough to register the difference! We only had 8PPM to start with, hoping to get it as close to zero as I can.. Most test strips indicate in increments of 10. Because of this, the test strips I got are useless because the first color it will turn is higher than what I have to start with. I would like to test monthly to ensure proper operation to help predict saturation.

Removes nitrates effectively!
We had an undersink point-of-use nitrate filter for our well in a house we just sold. This filter was much cheaper than the one our water filter installer wanted to sell us, and it works! (He said we needed a "2x10" filter, and this was the one we needed.) We had to have our water tested as part of the home inspection to sell our house. With the newly installed filter, the nitrates tested as not present. Win!

Better warer
Where I live we have a lot of nitrates in the water. Got this so I wouldn't have to buy bottled water. It works the water tastes much better and I'm sure it's better for my family, even use the water for my pets.
