We use this for brewing tea for our homemade Kombucha. We put different types of tea together to obtain the flavor we desire. This has proven over time to be a great tea to blend the others with and end up with a good tasting Kombucha. Plus, it's organic! It is a more expensive tea, but in bulk it is cheaper than it would be in smaller quantity and it lasts quite a long time for us. Since I blend this with other teas and do not use it alone, I can't really tell you what it's like on its own, but it is high quality and tastes good in our blend. I also appreciate that it is available through PRIME...love the advantages of Prime membership!

I had been purchasing Frontier Assam in bulk at the local WF market. This arrived in great condition without the tea powder you often fund in bulk, at about 1/2 of the price.Tea is very smooth as long as you don't steep it too long. I find about 4 minutes is optimal.Flavor is mild and smooth, much better than bagged tea but not quite at the level of the very best Assams. A great value.

Much better than my normal loose tea that I buy locally

This is a good quality tea. Angels won't be singing on your shoulders as you drink it, but it makes a good solid cuppa.I would consider this a great "everyday" tea, and at the price, it can be.

I expected a strong, bold Assam. Instead, I have to put 1.5x as much loose tea in the infuser to get even a medium amber cup. And that's with 4-5 minutes steeping. Think Red Rose. It's not a bad tea, the flavor is fine, but it's better for afternoon rather than morning tea. I will use it all, but not repurchase.

This tea has a slight bitterness, and unexpected strong flavor that learned to love. If you like sugar and cream in your tea then this is the tea for you as I have never drank a more full flavored tea than this tea. A gorgeous color when brewed. Mostly full leaf with some minimal dusting. Enjoy it, there are cheap assam teas but this one so far has had the best flavor!

This one fits the bill for great tea any time of day (I like it strong with milk)... and you get the added bonus of it being organic and a fair trade product. Good company and great tea.

I love the flavor of this tea and keep buying this as my only source of black tea. It is full of aroma and is fragrant by itself. It also lends itself very well to flavoring it with food-grade and therapeutic grade essential oils.
