The best shake light /
This shake light is by far the best one available. I bought my first Nightstar ten years ago and still use it when winter camping in Montana. It has worked in minus 20 F. This JP model features a brighter LED and a transparent very strong polycarbonate body .I have owned several other shake- lights but none of have been as reliable as the Nightstar products.

Expensive Trash
I bought two of these Nightstar lights to use as emergency light sources. The first time I used one of these flashlights, it worked for about fifteen minutes. Suddenly it went dark. When vigorously shaken, it would give short little flashes of light. When I extricated myself form my situation; I smashed that flashlight on a brick wall corner, in frustration. I quickly learned to not trust Nightstar lights. The second Nightstar failed me within a month with the same capacitor failure problem the first flashlight experienced. I tossed it on my workbench and contacted the manufacturer. They gave no response to my inquiry and apparently this light has no warranty. While I have yet to toss the remaining Nightstar in the trash; I can see no way to repair this glued shut piece of scrap. Save your money and get something else for a light.

Not worth it, even if it was half price
I bought one several years ago, used it when i was diving to about 60-80 ft, so it is very water proof as a dive light. The switch fell off for some reason, If i can't buy the switch separately and it isn't fairly cheap, its going i the trash. Would definitely not buy again, don't leave it in close proximity of your computer of other sources. It may damage it permanently.

Unreliable
I have one of these. Expensive for a low quality, low lumen flashlight. The "on" switch no longer works, and I have rarely used it. A flashlight with a very cheap switch which malfunctions after limited use is not worth having. The concept is great, but the quality makes it useless. If some other company makes a quality version of this concept, I would buy it.
