Johnson Pump10-13407-07 Aqua Jet 5.2 Wash Down Pump, 12V (Pack of 1)

Bought one 6 years ago, pretty sure I put it to use more than any one else. Had on a commercial fishing vessel and had it running 5-8 hours nonstop a day 5-6 days a week. Never skipped a beat. Bought this one about 2 years ago as a spare for when it gave up. Finally did this spring. Put the new one in place of it, same everything as the first one, can't run 15-20 mins without overheating and causing the thermal overload protection to kick in. Very very disappointed as I have bragged about this pump to numerous people. Currently ordered another brand and are hoping for results as good as the first one I had.

This pump works great. I am taking away a star because 1) it did not come with mounting screws so if this is a new installation, be aware. And 2) there were no directions for all the various plumbing connections. Otherwise, this is a great washdown pump!!!

Purchased for use on my charter boat. I've used this make/model before, and it works fine other than the fact if it's mounted in a moist location the pressure switch craps out on you and you need to disable that feature. Anyway, it arrived missing one of the red clips to hold on the hose ends. Not that big of a deal but annoying as it'd be nice to have the product assembled correctly so I can get it installed and be done with it. Called Johnson Pumps to get another one and ran into a snotty gal in customer service. The gal laughed and scoffed at me when I said "I received a pump from you, new in box" when I purchased it from amazon, but it was obvious that I meant that I had received a Johnson Pump. Unbelievable in this day and age that someone could actually work in customer service with an attitude like that and after receiving an incomplete unit it was a good kick in the nuts. They boxed up a unit without out all the parts, that last thing the customer should have to deal with is bad customer service when trying to get the unit operational No apologies from the gal either for the incomplete unit. So now I need to email them a copy of my amazon receipt to prove that I apparently bought it. You know, since there is such a black market demand for these cheap plastic parts and scam artists are loading up on them. My next pump won't be a Johnson pump. Way too many pumps on the market to deal with customer service like that.

The pump is high pressure and seems to run for quite some time without shutting down in an overheat protection mode. I accidentally left it filling a live-well for probably an hour with no issue. The pressure switch activates fine when the system is closed. The only issue with this purchase is the cheap plastic couplers that come with it. The threads strip very easily as the plastic is soft and malleable. If this pump lasts a few years I will probably replace it with the same.Pro tip - if your outboard overheats due to a clog in the cooling tell-tale, this pump will cool it down when attached to the outboard flushing line. That one task made it easily worth it's salt.

Just arrived in the mail. Assembly was easy and takes seconds to snap whatever fittings you want into it. It comes with two pairs of different sized fittings that you can hose clamp a hose to or a pair of threaded fitting that water hoses can screw onto. My initial impression is it looks and feels like a very quality product. The pump is very quiet. I attached a pocket flexible hose to it and didn't expect much since even with city water the flex hose is hard to get a lot of pressure out of but to my surprise it put out a lot of pressure instantly! I would say the water pressure was as good or better than city water pressure. Very impressed and know this was a great investment for keeping my boat clean after each use. I would recommend it to anyone who is willing to spend the little extra money to get this over the cheaper pumps online. I'm glad I did.

Replaced my Shurflo salt water washdown pump in my 43' Egg Harbor with this Johnson pump. I had to add a 20A breaker to accommodate the 16A draw, but was worth the extra work. Pump comes with both 1" and 3/4" fittings, so either can be used. The pressure and the volume of water is much greater than the replaced pump. There is a very small drip from the 1" barbed pressure side fitting. Johnson responded quickly and is sending a replacement fitting and additional "O" ring seals. I like the way the quick connect fittings are so easy to install. Note that the pump is larger and the mounting holes are a different pattern than the Shurflo.

I had this pumps previous model. I installed the old one around 2005. It worked for me for around twelve years. Finally, it gave up the ghost. I wanted to replace it with the same unit but I found it was discontinued. However, this model is it's replacement. I found it was nearly identical. I took the old one out and put this one in using the same bolt holes and I'm washing down my boat again. It has good water pressure. It is quiet. I use a flexible hose in my 22 ft center console boat and walk all the way around with good pressure. I do recommend it and will buy another if I ever need one.

I ordered this pump for my husband's boat to replace a prior purchase. He is a little disappointed in the strength. However, bc it is rated for saltwater and is stronger than the first one that we ordered, we are going to keep it. I will write another review in a few months with an update. I thought he should have gotten one with more psi or gallons per minute but it did not coordinate with voltage (??). Hope this helps.
