Wonderful product. So much value for money and a huge range of gorgeous pictures

Firstly Selena Fenech's Illustrations are outstanding in their quality and detail. Why The 2 star rating?The book is printed and published in the UK by Amazon. Therein lies the problem. The paper quality is poor. I would suggest there are better quality copier papers available on the market. But what you get is poor quality copier-type paper in these books.. No "art quality' paper has been used in the books.2) You cannot use wet mediums on it - this results is breakdown of the paper and possibility ruined work. Which is frustrating after you have taken a couple of days to complete a page.I have used ink pads (Ranger Oxide) ones which are damp to the touch, not wet,, result wrinkled paper and an image worked on for days was rendered fit for the bin. Felt pens - bleed through to the page behind. I primarily use Prismacolor Premier and Faber Castell Polychromos pencils so It is not a pencil problem . Finally I tried a dry medium. After spending 3 days on a complicated illustration - I burnished it using a Prismacolor Colourless Blender pencil - it is made of wax, and not waterbased. The paper quality failed again - it wrinkled the paper.These books are expensive and Selena has many followers. But, I would pay 3 times the price for Selena's illustrations for a better quality of paper. I also emailed Selina Fenech about the above issues. Zero response thus far (23/7/20.

Lovely book but then I wouldn’t expect anything less from Selena french never been disappointed by any of her books
