The Dare

Unique storyline
Elle and Tiffany are best friends who have fun daring each other to do outlandish, sometimes scandalous things. One such dare leads Elle to attempt to gain the attention of a top executive at the business where they both work by making a copy of her nude rear end and anonymously leaving it in his office. She certainly gets his attention when he walks in while she's doing this. The executive, Colton, who is British, and Elle's dad, who also works for the company, are competing to lead a new project. Colt blackmails Elle into working with him on the project, much to her over-protective dad's displeasure. As they work as a team, Elle and workaholic Colt grow closer and she encourages him to loosen up by daring each other to do things. One such dare, while they're in England researching the site Colt's proposed for the project, leads to a scandal and media frenzy. I had some mixed feelings about the book. I was put off by Elle's photocopying of her bare rear end, which, while unique in a romance, seemed immature and ill-conceived. At that point I wasn't sure if I cared to finish the book. However, I kept reading and it got better. The various dares between Colton and Elle were mostly harmless. Plus, in my opinion, the plot picked up steam when they arrived in England and Colt's family backstory began to unfold. There were funny scenes and steamy episodes. The growing romance was believable. While this book definitely is not as good as Drop Dead Gorgeous, overall I'd consider it deserves a 3.5 rating.

Such a fun and sexy book to read!!!
Oh this story was so much fun to read!!! The dares were the best and I just loved how we got to see two sides of Colton. He's known as the Big, bad Wolfe but he does have a soft side that only certain people to see. He's British and the way he laughs about our words made me laugh harder. He's got determination to do right and make a name for himself. I applaud him so much for this, shows he's a fighter and I love that!! Elle is a delight! She knows how to have fun and despite just having it all handed to her, she'd rather work her way up. I applaud her for that as well. These two work so well together and have great chemistry! I loved how Colton fit the dares into their relationship and how risky they get! I loved every minute of this book and will definitely read the next book!!

Five hilarious ๐๐๐๐๐
The Dare By Lauren LandishElle Stryker and Tiffany Young have been bestfriends since freshman year in college. They were what you could call each others yin and yang and partners in crime. They were inseparable and loved to challenge each other to dares but with rules :Nothing that could hurt someone, no sex, and nothing really illegal.Once graduating from college they both started jobs at Fox Industries on the ground floor even though Elle's father Daniel is one of the VP of the company she chose to earn her spot by her hard work not by her name. Even out of college they continued the their daily dares even at work. That's when one of Tiffany's dare got out of control and Elle got caught in all her glory ๐คญ by none other than Colton the guy she has had a crush on for two years.Colton Wolfe is from London and left his family to prove he can make something of himself without his family's help. He is also a VP at Fox Industries and has done well for himself. Then an incredible opportunity came up to pitch a second headquarters for Fox Industries to be known as HQ2 and he knew he had a shot but unfortunately Daniel Stryker was in the running for the as well. Then he discovers a surprised Elle in a compromising position in his office and make her and offer she can't refuse. She is torn between being loyal to her father and proving that she can be a important asset to the project.I loved the back and forth hilarious banter between Colton and Elle it was fun, flirty and sexy. Elle and her friend Tiff were dare junkies they received a rush from each one. Colton was all work and no play until Elle then she introduces him to her game of dare and then the fun really begins.I loved when she tells Colton her motto and tells him to :Repeat after me . . . YOLO.โAnd then he asks what does "Yoe-loe" mean? ๐คฃโYou Only Live Once. Itโs basically my motto. Live big, live loud, and with no regrets. Or at least if you have regrets, make it for things youโve done, not for things you didnโt have the balls to do.โI loved this book and wow the secondary characters especially Tiffany and Nan they were a HOOT!FIVE ๐๐๐๐๐

good job, pun intended
What a funny book. I enjoyed the antics and characters. Iโm more interested in seeing what happens with all the other characters now. Daddy, Tiffany , Miranda, and of course he brother. Good read fun and light for my winter depression. Even some good surprises.

Good have been better
This had quiet a good story line, I liked the characters, and the dares, however being English it really frustrates me that a lot of American authors write English characters as either speaking with a plum in their mouth or as a cockney! The majority of English people actually speak like neither but ,'normal'. Also you do not find the rich as the likes of the Wolf family and nan speaking like cockneys and I'm sure they would not swear as nan and Lizzy did, in fact as a responsible adult to their 14 year old sister would you not pull her up her for using the (c u next Tuesday) word? It's these reasons why I've only given it 2 stars and the ending seemed rushed, it jumped to the conclusion of the story with no real satisfaction.

All the LOLs
This was a light easy to read comedy romance with some fantastic characters thrown in (looking at you Nan) there was a lot of funny moments, realistic dialogue and well described scenes. The basic premise is Elle Stryker works with her dad at a firm where he is a higher up exec but doesnโt want nepotism and wants to earn her own place. Her dad is going for a bid to run a second headquarters against his rival the super sexy totally available and oblivious Colton Wolfe (AKA the big bad Wolfe) but when super daring Elle is dared to do something risque it all goes a bit wrong and ends in the past and at the mercy of the big bad Wolfe but will he eat her all up ???I thought some of the dares where pretty pointless but for a lighthearted book it brought out emotion in me and it was expertly written and I really enjoyed it,It was like watching a good chick flick and you know you canโt go wrong choosing to read a good chick flick

Just okay
The storyline was good, the characters were okay. Lots of laughs with main character Elle, Tiffany her friend and their dares. Good chemistry between Elle and Colton and I would have liked a bit more in this story between Tiff and Daniel, Elleโs Dad. Unfortunately the British characters dialect was all over the place and completely ruined this story for me. A shame as I was enjoying it.

it's ok nothing special
The I really found this book to be very predictable, basic even with the story line. It was witty in parts yet the British use of language questionable too! I did consider not finishing it but I did. Not worth the cost.

Will dares tulle Elle's life???
A really good read. You have Elle and her best friend Tiffany getting through life doing dares to each other whilst working for Fox enterprises and in their everyday life. One dare goes to far and she ends up being caught by Colton Wolfe. As we wind our way through the book, we laugh, we cry and we get angry at her dad, his dad, the dares, the interaction between best friends and the whole storyline. Colton wants his dad's approval but with his dad playing loose with his wife's money and showing that Colton is always the black sheep it may never happen. With a HQ on the line, Colton's father does all he can to muck it up for him. With his Nan on the case and a few legal words and help from the family lawyer, will Colton get his wish of the Fox HQ in London and get his girl?????? A great story with some awesome character.
