Beautiful Cable!
I love the look and style of this cable! I tried going with Bluetooth on my soundbar, but I had lip sync issues, so I went with optical. This cleared up the lip sync and looks great too

Awesome Audio
I hooked this cable from my Sony Playstation 4 Pro to my headphone amp, and gaming has been transformative ever since. It is also great for listening to movies and music. I had been using cheap optical cables before, but this cable is just on a whole other level. The main difference are the highs, which is super crisp and clear. I am using a Sennheiser HD 350 as my headphone. I cannot wait until I get my Playstation 5 and experience its 3D audio feature, which should even be more ethereal. The product itself is very high quality. First, it comes in a beautiful box and packaging that you can gift right away if you are too lazy to box it. Just remove the outermost box if you want to present a sense of mystery. Second, the cable itself is braided in high quality material that's thick and provides great insulation and protection. Finally, the ends are plated in gold to maximize the quality of transmission. They even have caps to protect the ends while not in use.I know the price is higher than most regular optical cables, but when you want the best of something, you just have to make an investment, and this should be a long-term investment for the whole life of the PS5, and even beyond. An exellent product.

Really nice toslink audio cable, but is it worth $79? I don't think so.
I needed a new optical cable for my audio setup, and I couldn't help but order the Austere V Series Optical Audio cable in the 2.0 meter length. I don't typically fall into the category of people who buy into all the premium cable hype. Nice cables are..nice, but there's a limit to how much it can "improve" the sound quality of your audio setup. If you're currently using cables which have some type of damage, then yes, a cable will make a potentially monumental difference in sound quality. Otherwise, you're paying for branding, strain relief, wire gauge, gold plating, etc..After doing some research on Austere, I'm comfortable saying that you're paying a premium for branding and packaging. Why would I say that? The brand was established in 2019, by Deena Ghazarian. That name probably doesn’t mean anything to you, but if I say Beats by Dr. Dre I’m guessing thats a name you recognize. Well, turns out Ms. Ghazarian was the one who “Developed and lead strategic vision of the distribution channel for Monster and it's multiple business categories including Cable, Power, and Beats by Dr. Dre.” That is taken directly from her LinkedIn. Why is this relevant? Because while Beats made decent audio gear, that’s all it was - decent. But the price you paid for a set of Beats by Dr. Dre was absolutely premium. The reason I included all of this information, is that while this cable is indeed nice, I highly doubt that the actual cable itself has any qualities that would warrant the $79 price tag it carries, much like the Beats by Dr. Dre didn’t. This coupled with the insanely nice packaging and branding materials that the cable arrived tucked neatly into, with its large, velvet lined box and shiny cover etc etc., point to this brand being another marketing wunderkid spearheaded by a marketing industry pro.BOTTOM LINE:The cable is nice, flexible, and carries the audio signal without any signal degradation. Is it worth $79? Not if you ask me. I guess it depends on how important the unboxing process is to you. Its a cable, not jewelry.

Looks terrific, works fine
I'm not sure if this cable actually works better than other optical audio cables, but it sure is the best looking I've seen. From the classy looking presentation box, to the gold-plated connectors, to the great looking braid--it's a sophisticated look that says this cable is to be trusted. It did not work for connecting a new speaker to our QLED TV, but that is the fault of the proprietary nonsense of Sonos and Samsung. I did switch it out with another optical audio cable that I had connected to another setup, and it worked just fine. I did not notice any difference between the sound speed or quality produced by either of them.I'n not sure the reason for putting so much effort (and probably money) into the looks of this particular cable, but it sure is a confidence-builder. I mean, after all, one does not gift an item like this, and during use, it's usually hidden, isn't it?

WOW and WOW! I love this Austere V Series Optical Audio Cable
I normally test things out for a couple of weeks before writing a review but I got this yesterday and had to review it immediately. If you like tech reviews check out more reviews over on my YouTube and Facebook channel "OndaWire".Pros:1. This might sound crazy to a lot of you, but the packaging is GORGEOUS! Seriously for Austere to take the initiative to design the packaging like they did is awesome!2. I was using a $6.99 best seller optical cable on my $4000 tv and while I thought it sounded good and played right, this cable ABSOLUTELY blows those out of the water! I was skeptical at first when I saw the $60 price tag, but after swapping out the cheaper $6.99 cable for this one, YOU CAN TELL A BIG DIFFERENCE in the sound, clarity, and overall HD Dolby quality. It's truly astonishing what a much better cable can do for your expensive systems.3. The quality of these cables is super nice, thick and you can tell it's pure quality!4. The gold tips on these are also super nice and according to the description, they will never erode or go bad and the cable comes with a "lifetime" guarantee. NICE!You will absolutely love this Austere V Series Optical Audio Cable. I wish I could give it a 10**********These definitely get the highest 5***** star ranking in my book. IF you have an expensive TV, PLEASE DO NOT settle for cheap cables. You are only cheating yourself! That goes for optical cables like this, speaker cables or HDMI cables. This is a definite must buy and I would highly recommend it!
