GREAT CHOICE FOR PRACTICE
When the price of my regular practice paper went up to RIDICULOUS, I decided to look for a new paper and found this one recommended by Amazon. The reviews weren't glowing, but I often find that people will review a product without knowing anything about testing its limits and limitations. The fact that this is 100% cotton was a plus (my old paper was only 25%) There are a few things that I don't especially like about it, but then, it's for testing color, making color/value sketches. It's not paper that I would use for commission work. That said, I could use it for commission work and not be ashamed to do so. What I wasn't so keen on in the beginning was the texture of the textured side of the paper. It's very "machined" looking. As I painted, I found that, although I don't care that much for it, it wasn't really a deal breaker. It's OK and it's not rough. Quite smooth. The other side of the paper is smooth and I like that for illustration work (see the fish). Very nice finish, works well with wet into wet technique. Bonus: it comes in a two pack and you get 70 sheets of paper! My old brand only had 60 sheets and, unlike this paper, the price was over $30. This is a good watercolor paper for the price. I will buy it again. I only gave it two stars for "for beginners" because I feel a beginner might be put off by the texture and not know testing the water to pigment ratio to get a good result. Otherwise, this paper ticks all the boxes for me!

Great paper! Great price!
I love the paper. It is nice and thick. The texture is slightly rough. My paints aren't high end, but these papers make them feel like they are. The washes were nice, and my colors blended well. I've been using all watercolor techniques, wet-on-wet, dry-on-wet, washes, even my watercolor brush pens. For wet-on-dry, I prefer smoother paper. Transparency is adequate. The paper has been durable through many layers of paint. I was able to erase, if I was gentle. The edges frayed a little going through my paper cutter. That is what I wanted. They were tough to tear by hand, but looked great.I'd buy them again. They've been worth the price for me.

It's Fine!
This is a 100% woodpulp paper. It's the first watercolor paper I ever bought because it's so affordable. It's a little harder to get colours to layer and blend well and it will start to break down if you apply a lot of friction if you're lifting previously made marks using clean water. The more water you add the more obvious the 100% woodpulp content becomes. This paper will warp pretty badly, so it's a good idea to tape it down. It's a very different experience painting on cotton paper, but if you're working with a tight budget, this is fine. Not great, but fine. You don't have to feel precious about using the paper because it's so affordable, but keep in mind that paint will just kind of sit on the surface and the more water you're adding the trickier handling your paint will become.

Great paper, great size
I'm no professional artist, but this worked great for me! I really like the size because it makes the blank page less daunting but still gives me plenty of room to work with.

The best
I order these every few months they are such good quality. AND my last one was delivered on time of course but I didn’t notice it. It comes wrapped in plastic inside the delivery envelope so it didn’t get ruined. Thank you

My favorite paper
This water color paper is my favorite. First, it's thick, absorbs nicely, great for wet on wet. It dries flat since the edges are glued down. It's also affordable so I use it for practice and save my expensive paper.
