Driver's Pickle 1906 Pickled Onions, 1.7 kg DD01

I love pickled onions and often struggle to find ones which are crunchy and not mushy , but also sharp and not sweet.These are great - large pickles with a spicy sharp twang and perfectly crunchy.I purchased the smaller jar too which is the same but smaller onions - those are spicier (which I like) as they are smaller and the spice gets into them more.So if you want a bit of spice and nice crunch - get these, if you want more spice with the same crunch - get the smaller jar.

If you like spicy & large pickled onions which are refreshingly crisp, these are for you. I enjoyed them anyway & will reorder. If you prefer small, soggy tasteless pickled onions, head to your local supermarket…

Not as good as opies but ok

The seal on the jar had been broken and tapped up with sellotape. The whole box was soaked in vinegar. The item should not have been delivered in that condition because it was obvious that the jar was damaged as the whole box was soaked with vinegar. The item has been refunded.

Difficult to find good pickled onions these days, usually soft, not enough peppers and chillies used. But these, are excellent, crunchie, with a nice chilli kick to them. Highly recommend.

It has become more difficult to buy really hard pickled onions these days. I used to make loads at Xmas to use through the year also give to neighbours along with my home made coleslaw.Now my hands are too painful,I am 75 severe arthritis, I still cook my meals etc , also a widow now so a huge jar lasts me ages.I can not recommend these pickled onions highly enough, they are absolutely gorgeous, brilliant size too.I made myself a pickled onion sandwhich over the Xmas holidays lol,haven't done that for a few years.Please keep these P/onions in stock .Top ranking from me.

Bought these in December for the first time me and my daughter love pickles but twice now since December I had dented lid leaking tasted strange 3rd time had to thought a jar out due to it leaking due to rust inside and out side the lid making the contents taste disgusting and not like the chillyish crunch of December did not taste nice because of this cannot buy them again so disappointed I have had no problems with the pickled eggs so fare very sad

Absolutely gorgeous pickles. Due to stomach problems I hadn't been able to eat a pickle for 30yrs!! But now it is sorted, I have my craving for them back and these hit the spot nicely 😊
