EURO DNA Fingerprint Test

The ACCURACY of this report boggles my mind! As a professional genealogist, and I don’t just collect names. I go deeply into the history of my ancestors, including their migratory patterns. I actually take the time to learn about my people and their kinships, and those of my clients.I can easily identify at least one historical ancestor in each grouping listed in this report, and, looking at their migratory patterns, I easily understand how each ancestral group arrived where they did. The two biggest surprises were the high degrees of Portuguese matches and the comment that “Finland and Estonia may appear because of high Native American admixture.” In the Appalachians where my family comes from, Portuguese matches are indicators of Berber ancestry, common in Cherokee and other Southeastern heritage, and of the mixed-race people called Melungeons. Besides being able to trace my Hungarian (Finno-Ugric) ancestors through Spanish and Scottish families, I wonder how many other labs realize that they went east to Siberia and Beringia as well? I especially appreciate that DNA Consultants shows in exactly which databases the matches were found, and the size of each database sample, rather than the subjective ethnic “pie charts”, “heat maps”, and synthetic genetic tribal assignments I’ve found in the reports from some other providers that my clients have used. This is why we tell them to spend the money and go with DNA Consultants if they want accurate, detailed information. This is my second test with DNA Consultants, and you can expect to see me again.

I recently purchased two of the Euro DNA fingerprint tests and considering the minimal amount of information I got back, I feel TOTALLY RIPPED OFF!!! If you want more definitive DNA information, go with a different company's DNA test. I personally did a 23 And Me test with my aunt and received vast more applicable information.

My Euro test was definitely not disappointing. The results were surprising. They confirmed suspicions about lineage and familial migration patterns. I think it's helpful to develop a knack for reading and interpreting this particular type of DNA test. If anyone has difficulty interpreting results, just give DNA Consultants a call. That's what I did. One of the company's principals will spend the time to help you understand your results. They will also offer lots of references. A lot of careful work goes into designing this kind of DNA test. The company uses a number of sophisticated research tools and huge, international DNA databases. I only know this from asking. I am satisfied with the quality of my test experience, company interaction, and test results.

The "Product Description" sold me on the, EURO DNA Fingerprint Test and I was not disappointed. From the time I placed my order to receiving my results was less than 10 days.The testing kit was shipped, Next Day. I followed the easy to understand instructions which consisted of filling out and signing a consent form, swabbing the inside of my cheeks, placing the swabs in the provided sterile envelope and sealing with tape, placing form and swab envelope into the provided no postage due envelope addressed to the lab and mailing.I received my results via email in less than 10 days. The report was very easy to understand and confirmed what I knew from my personal genealogy. I did have one questioned about a match and contacted DNA Consultants, by phone. Someone there was able to answer my question within minutes to my satisfaction.I highly recommend this product.

I had taken a DNA test from one of the big guns in the market, and no surprises there. It jibed with what little my parents knew and had told me about my ancestry. But I decided to try another test, from a less corporatized outfit, DNA Consultants, and boy, was I flummoxed at the results. A few of the familiar European countries showed up on my "top ten" list, but there were also at least three seemingly inexplicable, Eastern European links. I called the company to let them know it was virtually impossible; they were friendly and helpful, and were able to provide me with plausible explanations for the results. In fact, now I'm really curious, and may order the upgraded DNA test to get more detail.An interesting alternative in the DNA-analysis marketplace.

The report was very disappointing. I was expecting something totally different. All it showed me was where people with similar DNA as mine reside in different countries in Europe and gave me percentages. I was expecting to see how much Scottish Irish or English DNA I had. Not worth the money .

What a great and comprehensive test. My mother-in-law bet me that she was 100% Norwegian and now I'm $25 richer. Norway was only third in her population matches among European countries. She was amazed at the countries that finished above and below Norway. The test is a great way to spark a discussion about ancestry and I encourage everyone who's interested in knowing their country origins to take the test; it's well worth the money.
