I am quite disappointed with this book. 15 recipes with only one black and white photo of a dish. I know everyone cooks differently but her take on the cook up rice is strange...no one adds the beef to the cooked rice then serve.

I was expecting more recipes. Didn’t care much about it

The small ethnic cookbooks by author are primers. If you seek an introduction to cuisines out of family ties, nutrition or culinary adventure, this series is suitable and low-priced for use.

Key Guyanese recipes included - but no pictures and few substitutions mentioned makes the book rudimentary rather than a primer. For a cook with no knowledge this is not the best cookbook.

Could have been machine compiled i'm not sure. a waste of money.

Looking for a Guyanese recipe book to try some food from my family’s home country. This worked nicely.
