Mini projector for home theater

Good projector for the price point
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I've owned two "mini-projectors" before - one was about £25 and the other a number of hundred. The cheap one was not bright at all, required an external speaker and failed very quickly. The other was far superior and definitely worth the money. I was expecting something in the middle for the price, but actually it feels closer to the superior model. The picture quality is good, allowing you to make the screen up to 120" I believe. I regularly use it for around 40-50" and the picture quality is very good at this distance. The room doesn't have to be dark for it to still very very visible. I was really impressed that it came with the leads included (the cheap one didn't come with a HDMI, so I wasn't expecting this one to). The remote is also a useful inclusion (although it didn't come with batteries - you need 2xAAA).The main advantage of this projector though is the built-in speakers. According to the description, there are two, and it does help significantly when using it for TV programmes/films (which is the main purpose I got this for). The volume is a good level and it has an impressive amount of bass for a cheaper projector. So in general, of course you can get a better projector if you're willing to spend 3-5x the price, but for less than £100, this is an excellent buy. It has a good picture quality, is easy to set up and the sound is its best feature. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a projector for your film nights while we all can't go to the cinema!

Price v Performance
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. As an avid live theatre fan I have very much been missing the experience during the current COVID situation so when they started adding filmed shows to the web I was keen to watch but wanted to make the experience better watching on a big screen rather than my 40 inch TV.I borrowed a projector from a friend and it was great so decided to look for a projector to purchase the one I had borrowed was a good one that had cost over £700 new which was way out of my price range so to be honest when I saw the Apeman LC450 at £89.99 with 20% off and good reviews I thought it was worth a try.The projector I had borrowed had to be connected via an hdmi cable to my chromebook however with the LC450 I was able to plug my Chromecast into the HDMI port and power from the projectors own USB port meaning I could play media from my IPhone,IPad, Android tablet and Chromebook without any problems or having to purchase extra cables so a great additional option to be able to show family and friends photos. Home videos etc.It also had the added bonus of being a lot more compact then the projector I had borrowed and the idea of it being easy to take with me on trips away from home was appealing and with the added bonus of not having to take an extra external speaker.I didn’t set my expectations to high as you can’t expect premium performance at a budget price however I am very happy to say it has exceeded my expectations by some margin.Yes as people have said there is fan noise however I don’t know of any projector that doesn’t and the speaker is more than capable of drowning this out and when set on Tru surround sound it goes pretty loud although it is a little tinny but you can’t expect a lot of base from such a small speaker. It also has adjustment to set the screen to vivid, warm or standard and this made good improvements depending on the media being played.I also liked the fact you could change the projection from 16:9 to 4:3 which is very useful depending on the projector screen you are using. I projected the screen up to 100 inches as that was the limit of my screen and the picture was good a little grainy close up but moving a little further away as you would be if watching with a few friends then the picture is very good.To sum up if you want a perfect picture and truly great sound then you are going to have to invest well over a thousand pounds however if you just want occasional movie nights in with the family or an ideal on the road movie projector when staying away from home then this is a great option and even better if you can purchase as I did on promotion.

So not as loud as I would like, but overall a great little travel projector
So lets get the negative out the way first. It's definitely not as loud as I would like it. It's definitely not as loud as I would like not having an audio out to let me plug it into an external sound source. That said it's plenty loud enough for a hotel room!So having to do some travelling, daughter was after a projector to watch some movies on. I have one, but with no sound it then needs a bluetooth speaker, aux cable and so on, so is not the smallest packed down. This hover looked the business.I have to say it's a little larger than I expected and the fans came on a bit more then I would have liked. But for something that is barely bigger than a pint mug, it does a great job.The picture quality is great. That's up against a hotel wall, the picture was clear, easy to adjust and the sound was good. As mentioned earlier on max, it's what I would like on 5 so for bigger rooms I could turn it up.however for showing a sales video, or a movie in a hotel room, it's perfectly fine.Really liking apeman products. Great value, great quality.

Brilliant sound and picture quality
Nice compact mini projector. Can be connyto most types and styles of Android or apple device. Doesn't connect thought Bluetooth . Comes with great instructions that are abit confusing at first but if you re read them they are very easy to understand. Rather easy to set up and use . Has a crystal clear picture and sound quality. With its size being compact it is very easy to take on your travels doesn't take alot of room and it is easy to carry. Great value and quality can be used in so many different ways and places.
