Best pro level bench on the market, assembled in 45 min
The last bench you may ever need. Solid, comfortable, and easy to assemble. I am 6'2'' and 220 i bench between 315 to 385 and needed a bench that would handle the weight. i have tried a few from academy like the marcy, which is a good bench if your benching under 250 but when you get more weight on the bar that marcy just doesn't seem safe. There was was another marcy that i thought about buying but this one seemed to be put together better so i took a chance and bought it.***review***The bench took me 45 minutes to put together. after i un-boxed it i started the timer just to see how long it would take. i am mechanically inclined but this is not a jet engine its a weight bench. all the parts are professional quality, the welds are some of the best i have seen in the industry. the adjustability of both the seat and back rest are really nice, i have not tried the decline yet but i have with everything else, its not too wide for my shoulders as long as i keep my butt between the 2 seats.if i go up to high its a bit too wide for my shoulders which is a problem with my last bench. Its heavy but not too heavy, its made out of a much higher quality steel for structure and function. the wheels are nice to have more moving it around. i wish there was a way to lock the seat in place once you have chosen what eve degree you are going to use. It would also help when moving it around so you don't smash the crap out of your finger. the cushions are nice and solid, i hope the material they are made of lasts a long time. when i look at the price this cost and now that i have it and its all put together, i can honestly say its worth what they are charging for it. its definitely a $300 bench. I don't feel ripped off.install like this1.open and unbox everything2.leave nuts washers etc in package until you need them3. move all trash out of the way, boxes, plastic etc4. if you have a 18mm socket and a 16mm socket get them out and ready if not you can use the tools provided.5. read the instructions about what parts to hand tighten and what parts to wrench tighten until its put together.6. in the instructions is shows a bunch of other screw and bolts that are not included in the pre shrunk wrapping, don't worry they are already inserted into the bench where they are needed.7. put the base together, watch your fingers8.put the parts that hold the seats together and then attach the seats.9. make sure the 2 top seat parts are even before fully tightening them down10. watch for the little circular metal inserts that may fall out, you just slip them back into the bench assembly11.when your done go back and maker sure to tighten it all down, the seat assembly doesnt need to be that tight, but the seats themselves do need to be tight.12. get to work****UPDATE******** 2/13/2020FOOking tank of a Bench still going strong, use it 5-6 times a week, it has not torn or even come loose since i first put it together, the only thing is the little square things on the end caps fell out a long time ago.

Excellent Home Gym Bench - update after 3 weeks
Like everyone else it seems, I am using this for my home gym and it is terrific. It took me 45 minutes to put together and I found the instructions pretty clear and simple to follow. I have my own tools so I only used the Allen wrenches that were sent with the bench. I used a socket/ratchet of my own instead of the small wrench they provided so perhaps my assembly time was a bit quicker than someI am 6' 2" at 220 pounds and I had no issues with either the height of the bench off the floor or with the gap between the seat and lower back pads. It really is very stable and feels of the same or higher quality than the benches at my local gym. The padding on my bench was not too soft at all; again, it was quite similar to the benches at my local gym so either XMark has addressed the "too soft" criticism or my version of soft is not the same as others. I do not sink into the padding at all - it feels firm and is quite supportive. The gap between the cushions is also not a concern for me since, like other reviewers, the arch of my back falls naturally over the gap but depending on your height I suppose this could be a bigger deal for youThe wheels are also high quality and I find the bench quite simple to move around. I don't use the foot support bar at all when on the bench so I can't speak to that but I do find it helpful when doing situps (I lie on the floor facing the foot of the bench and place my toes under the support bar - the weight of the bench provides a nice counterweight and allows me to really focus on my abs without worrying about my feet coming up).Overall, I find the bench quite high quality and worth the extra cost compared to less well-made options.Aug 9 update: After three weeks of daily use I like the bench even more. Easily absorbs all the punishment me and my training partner (6' 8", 265 lbs) have given it in all its configurations from full decline to straight-up back for military press and remains rock solid throughout. The wheels are also worth a second mention here as they make the bench very easy to move about so I have been able to replace all my rickety old benches with just this one which would have made it an even better value for the money if I had been able to purchase it years ago

Fantastic. Awesome bench for home use.
This is FAR better than the previous bench I had. This thing can handle it all. This is practically gym quality. It's well worth the money (and I'm a tight ass). Five stars all the way. I highly recommend it.Pros:- Sturdy and stable. Well-built. Everything is solid.- Stores pretty well (for more info on this, see the Cons section)- Comfortable- You can move it around/adjust location pretty easily- Looks goodIt's a very nice bench, but I guess nothing's perfect. Here are a few minor cons I found:Cons:- It's too high for step-ups. It's about an inch too high for me. I have to use my older crappy bench for that. I don't have the ability to measure the bench height at the moment, but I think it's around 19". I'm average build/height, about 5'8"/5'9" and it's just too damn high for me.- It doesn't fold. You just lay the seat flat and then stand it up on one end. It's not something you can slide under the bed. (See the official XMark-produced video in the product description to see how it "folds"). I roll it out of the way and just stand it up on one end. It's stable enough. I use it 6 days a week, so it's not something I want to put under a bed or in a closet anyway.- There is a sizeable gap between the seat and the back but for me, this is not a big deal.- I had some minor issues putting it together, but it wasn't a bad experience. It didn't take long.- One of the little rubber pieces that I guess is like a protective thing fell off in shipping. Very minor issue. I'll get some glue and put it back on at some point.
