I got down on my knees, And I pretend to pray?? ....nahhhhhhhh
Some descent moments & prosperous passages here & there as always with Moonsorrow but YAWWWWWWN.. they seem to lose a little bit more passion with each release, & this is a VERY lite effort by Moonsorrow, soft, but not in that good way which Finnish Metal artists do best & do it better than anyone can. You can clearly hear when an artist is missing something, and Moonsorrow is missing that distinctive Finnish ..'something', which makes Finnish Metal so magical, If you well & truly know Finnish Metal than you will know exactly what I am talking about.Anyway this is Agalloch trend "folk" metal for 13 year olds, a trend which blew up around this time, & just like that band, safe & secure melancholy for cradled pubescent youths. I hate to be this way because I used to love Moonsorrow, but you always grow out of childish bands like this or fake angst neo-folk bands like Agalloch who will forever be california dreamin'.like a tree which has outgrown its* *previous plant pot. Always reaching for loftier heights.*
