Great value manual focus lens
If you are new to Sony MILC and looking for a budget lens, note that this is a manual focus lens. It is a very compact lens, well-built and matches nicely with my a6000 camera body. The product images show a lens hood, however, it is not listed as part of the package and it won't be in the package you will receive. It would had been nice if it was included. For the price you pay, there is plenty to like about this lens. Wide open, center sharpness is very good but not so much at the corners. I see myself using it as a general walk around lens when I feel like shooting all manual. I read one review that said this lens does not let in much light but that was not my observation with the copy I got. So, beware that there could be some sample variations.I own many legacy manual focus lenses (Canon, Nikon, Minolta, Pentax) and also autofocus lenses (Sony, Nikon, Sigma). The Canon FDs are my favorite lenses and out of those the nFD 24mm stands out, a very sharp lens. Comparing the two, I find the Canon a bit sharper at the center. At all apertures, I notice Pergear lens letting in more light compared to Canon. Also, this Pergear lens is much lighter than the Canon setup with the adapter and is an inch or so shorter. I like the feel of the focus ring, very smooth and easy to focus with focus peaking. The infinity focus marking is a bit off though.Couple things that I do not like about this lens:The mount has a little play when mounted on the a6000 body.De-clicked aperture ring. Since the lens is so compact, it is easy to accidentally change the aperture. I have now got used to checking it each time before I take a shot. I wish the aperture ring was a little more rigid.Even though I own a good set of autofocus lenses, I enjoy shooting using manual focus lenses. I can see myself using this fun to shoot compact lens. It will have a place in my travel bag for sure. So, anyone looking for an inexpensive good quality wide angle lens, I say buy it. It is hard to find such a good lens at its current price point.

Great lens IF you know how to use it
First, you can't expect this to be a tack sharp lens at this price. It suffers from some chromatic abberation, smearing, etc. What you would expect out of a tiny, inexpensive lens.I bought it exactly for that reason, and it works great. This is a super inexpensive lens for cinematography on an APS-C camera. It gives you around 37.5mm with 1.5x crop factor, so is a very flexible focal length, and the non-sharpness gives your video character that modern lenses lack. You can get very filmic 4K shots with this lens. I use an a7R III in Super 35 mode, and it works great. If you haven't tried cheap little manual lenses like this, you should. They are very fun to play with. Just turn on focus peaking to help you nail focus.I will rarely if ever use this for photos, but I love it for video.

Great value for the money
I tested this lens for a video review, feel free to check it out on my Channel ParadiseBizz. It is very sharp, actually much sharper than the 7Artisans 25mm f1.8.The contrast is a bit on the lower end. Filmmakers will love that effect. All together a solid performer, especially for this small price tag.Highly recommended

A fun little prime lens with a vintage feel
I really enjoy using this lens. It's even more fun than using my kit lens because I'm actually learning what all I can do with a manual focus prime lens. The more limitations the better in my opinion. The Pergear also has a very good build quality in an all metal design. Did I mention it's fun to use? Oh... and it's super cheap and a great deal!

Not an e- mount lens
Purchased this lens to add to my collection of E mount lenses. Lets start with material, it is built well and all meter exterior. This is a good and bad thing. The weight of this lens is above average. Next lets talk about the quality of pictures. I can't answer that question because the lens doesn't fit on emount cameras i attempted to put it on my a6000, but it didn't fit the lens never seated in to the lens and after multiple attempts the lens started to ruin the camera itself. Due to this I refuse to put it on any other camera I own.
