Mozi: A Study and Translation of the Ethical and Political Writings (China Research Monograph 68)

useful, but not a complete translation
Buyers should bear in mind that this is not a complete translation; it includes precisely the same chapters that Yi-pao Mei translated in The Ethical and Political Works of Motse (London: Probsthain, 1929)--no more and no less. Specifically, what's missing are the notoriously difficult chapters on logic and military defense. There are currently only two complete translations of Mozi into English: Ian Johnston, tr., The Mozi: A Complete Translation (Hong Kong: Chinese University Press, 2010); and Wang Rongpei and Wang Hong, trs., Mozi (Changsha: Hunan People's Publishing House, 2006).

Excellent
Excellent translation helpful introduction, notes, and bibliography. Plus, it has the Chinese text. No surprise that Professors Knoblock and Riegel produced a great book.
